    Default Corolla Axio-X transmission...

    Friendz...

I want to know about the 2007 corolla axio-x transmission? Whether its a cvt or same as the previous 2006 x corolla?

Moreover, which type of transmission is better cvt or automatic just like in 2006 x corolla?

    Thanks

I couldn't repair my breaks, so I made my horn louder...

    Thumbs up Cvt

CVT is better, now CVT (continuous variable transmission) is standard for Nissan vehicles. it is better, smooth and gives better mileage and best torque over the range of RPM.
we should be proud of safe driving.

I am not sure but as I see on google that Toyota Axio from Japan is CVT or 5 speed manual. so It is CVT. If you test drive it you will notice that during gear shifting RPM will not come down but slightly going up with your acceleration.
we should be proud of safe driving.

I owned both 2006 x corolla 1.5 auto and axio2007 1.5 corolla. Axio is Super cvt 7 gear automatic. It gives up to 30 percent more fuel economy than previous 4 speed auto gearbox. At 80 km speed it's RPM on Eco mode is only 1300 while on old x corolla it's 2000 which gives saving of 700 rpm which means fewer opening of injectors and less use of petrol. Cvt means no CNG but old 4 speed auto is no CNG king either as it gives jerky gear shifts and very very sluggish performance.

At current rates of CNG which is 80 and future increase of up to rs 10 it is not wise to use CNG any more.

Axio gives rs 7.25 per km on petrol with 100 percent performance
Old x corolla gives rs 6 per Km on CNG with 70 percent performance
Old x corolla gives rs 9 per km on petrol with less performance than axio.

CNG is a fuel to produce power in engine driving wheels via transmission. CVT gets power from an engine no matter which fuel it is running.

please educate me what is logical reason for CNG being bad for CVT ? hotch potch throwing pebbles will not be wise. Logical reply & I will be highly grateful.

the cvt is controlled by a TCU which has been calibrated by taking into consideration engine loading specifics, meaning input torque.

CNG advancers muddle up the inputs to the ECU and the CVT then tries to "work" at the wrong time in wrong parameters.. If you can somehow get the same exact power from alternative fuel, maintain the same input parameters and maintain correct temperatures then CVT can work. ---- read closely, the last 3 items are a pipe dream.
