    Most of the ppl complain of its braking system. Why not u discuss this issue with Indus Motors? It should be brought into their notice, so that they improve the braking system.

    Check for the condition and type of tyres. Dunlop Lemans are better tyres with excellent road grip. May be changing tyres could solve your problem.

    SER_GTR...upgrading tires may help but if the braking system is inefficient....you wont get much benefit.

    i would look into gettting some better quality rotor and pads before investing in tires cuz the first alternative is way cheaper than getting new tires.
    I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

    Hello!
    IMC was not making much mess as we think off....actually they are General tyres which can't make much grip and cause bad braking + car's Ground clearance was also high.....car was equipped with 4 wheel discs as it comes now.......ABS was offered..........whats now.........i don't see a single Corolla braking on 80+ in Khi on SHahra-e-faisal and it skid and hit some one from back......car stops fine ......but i know.....the general tyres......are all mess up....get rid and you will find braking better.......even much better.......

    for my brother's 04 GLI in Karachi...i got him a set of Kumho Ecsta 712 high performance summer tires from here in January. The road grip improved but braking was still like s***. Ultimately, we bought carbon kevlar brake pads and JDM rotors from dubai and it stops like a breeze.

    @SER_GTR

    putting 195/65-70/R15 is increasing the tire diameter by 6.4-9.7%. Putting this tire size is stupidity (NO OFFENSE) . The tire shop guys usually recommend this to reduce the gap between the tires and the car and people here usually listen to this crap without considering the consequences.

    Its a lot of difference and the main reason why people complain so much about brakes and handling of corolla. Its bad no doubt, but we make it worse by putting bigger tires.

    The recommended tire size for a pakistani corolla are:
    185/65/14
    195/55/15
    205/55/15

    szuberi posted some link to a tire size calculator in another post, you can check that for any other sizes. And as he mentioned dont deviate more than 3% from the original size.

    Jinn...for the 205 width, you can also go 205-50-15. Its a little lower profile than the 55 and looks cool. the difference will be the same 1.7% but the other way round.

    @szuberi

    Look at the picture below. See the gap between the tire and the car. That doesnt look good. Reason is that they've given it more ground clearance in pakistan.
    I wouldnt go for 205/50/15 unless i'm reducing the height of the car. Then they would definately look cool.

    Exactly. The seat position is very high, so it also feels like a jeep when driving.

    no need to go for rotational high speed tyres. just put normal soft tyres like C drive. recommended tyre size have already been mentioned by others.
    if still not satisfied, save some money and buy the new model with ABS. it has a really nice brake response (Y)

    Low profile tyres are not recommended, In Pakistan road conditions not allows to have low profile tyres. It will make drive stiffer and loose suspension quickly.

    Tyre profile should be 60" and above ...

    Yeah IMC is not providing good quality tyres, its better to change tyres to get better road grip.

    Mostly people buy a IMC car and go straight to Tyre shop to buy new tyres and Rims.
