Smile Altis now with navigation system

Today Indus Motor Co. arranged training for their upcoming new Navigation system.
This navigation system is planned to install in all ALTIS vehicles delivered from first week of March 2012 & onward. The best thing in this news is that this navigation is offered in all ALTIS models without any additional cost and offered to all existing and new bookings from March 2012 till any further change
Officially announcement will be expected in next Sunday newspaper.
According to source that this navigation is imported from Toyota Thailand and is the same offered by Toyota Thailand in their vehicles. Pakistan maps and software is loaded by C-Track. They also announce that this navigation is not being sold in market and also not offered to old ALTIS or any other vehicle.
I am trying to grab its manual and other info. If I got then I will upload. But for your info that this is really a better quality system and far better than the available navigation system range in market.

(Although the source of info is very reliable but i am not hold responsible for anything)

Indeed it is. I have put up the Deepl Blue's Pic for illustration. My car looks exactly the same. I haven't had the chance to detail it properly and put up some snaps.
Btw, I have had the chance to fully check the NAV system. IMHO, it's much better than Civic's. The console OS is Windows CE 6.0. The UI is very user-friendly. The multi-touch is good, but it cannot be compared with the latest smart phones.
The audio quality of playing via BT is just average. Didn't check it with either USB or SD card.
As for the DVD quality, it's average as well. The Pioneer and Sony 2-DIN DVD Sys with screen panels, are much better. Had this been an option, i would have never opted for this. I would have preferred going with Pioneer's systems with NAV support. Since i have the maps in a microSD card, i might upgrade to Pioneer's system with NAV support. kindly pour in some suggestions as frm where i can source it?

congrats n i can judge ur feelings when getting the delivery of a brand new car!!as always enjoyed it whether a mehran or a corolla!! is this the new blue in toyota?? is it different from the previous strong blue which i loved alot???my last toyota was strong blue! this colour if different seems lighter than the strong previous strong blue. the dark blue looks good the darker it is.if this is a lighter shade i would advise you to detail it regularly n to get its colour to give a deep dark black look or else if this sorta colour isnt treated well it will get lighter n wont look good

This is the new blue in Toyota. Very different from the old blue. The pics are not doing justice to the colour. It's inclined more towards pearlescent side. The grains look phenomenal!
About detailing, I am quite an old detailing freak . So a thorough detailing session is due tomorrow InshAllah! Details of which are posted in the Detailing thread.
The joy of owning a new car is great, Allhamdoulillah. But in my case it wore off quite early

It depends on personal preference. Indeed these colours are seasonal. I have a 2003 Honda City in Shalimar Rose. Bought it brand new back in the day. This colour was seasonal yet ppl admire it to date. Ever-green are only in consideration when the resale factor needs to be considered. So i have no worries abt tht.
I was initially inclined towards opting for the strong blue metallic, but on strong recommendations of the director of Walton and Airport i booked this deep blue. Since i had the option of changing the colour even after delivery, so i had nothing to worry about as already my car was delivered in 15 days, Allhamdoulillah!
After looking at the Deep Blue colour in person, I realized how lucky i was to not opt for any other colour. Strong Blue is indeed a very sober colour, but it has become quite old and common. It stands in the league of white, black, silver corollas.
Everyone has his choice, I am glad i didn't go for the strong blue or perhaps any other colour.
The Deep Blue doesn't look good in the above pics while parked in the showroom, it's true grace comes out while it's parked outside. The pearlescent effect is quite whelming in it's case.

mr_drifter, I am sure this will get better with time. My AT is giving me 12-12.5kpl in the dense city traffic of LHR. Still awaiting pics from ur side of the side mouldings and the armrest console box lock.

@devilz_apprentice Buddy Kindly upload the pics of anomalies, if possible, that you found on the delivery of your car ! For the interest of all, this will be beneficial for future buyers.

Also I am waiting for your detailed review of Navi Suite, Quality of Maps and comparison of User Interface keeping Civic Navi in consideration

I using the 1.6 AT/ SR model from last year July. Car done 10000 KM. Believe me this engine and gear box is really design for fuel efficiency in its class. Even my previous 1.8 Altis MT fuel average is very friendly.
I am sure this car will not disappoint you. Although built quality of all local made cars are pathetic.
