These mileages are well below my expectations. I have a 1.8 Altis Ct, 9000km driven and it is giving me around 11.5 km/l in city with a light foot. On motorway, I get 16.5 km/l with the speedo locked at 115 km/h. Surely the "1.6 dual vvti" needs to live up to all the "economy" hype generated by Toyota Indus on its launch!

Let ur car complete 1000km, i am sure the consumption will get better. I am getting 9-10kpl in city with AC. Without AC i was getting around 12kpl. And my Altis is driven 550km uptil now.

My Altis cruisetronic gave me 18 Km/L on long route with AC. My max speed was 100 km with cruise control active for nearly 70% of the journey (Distance covered 140 km). Usually it gives me more than 17 km/L on long route and around 15 km/L when speed varies upto 130 km/h.

Impossible! I hope you're not following the computer read-out as thats rubbish. Realistic consumption averages between 10-12 km/litre depending on driving style.

thats pretty heavy for even a 2006 altis. My 2006 gives atleast 10km/l under stop n go condition.
And my 1.8 ct. gives around 10-12 under stop n go conditions.
