Default Is efi cng any good in carburetor engine (corolla 2001)

    I have a corolla 2001 non-efi car.

I want to install CNG kit in it. The workshop mechanic says that I must get installed an EFI kit etc costing around 62,000 whereas the simple carburetor kit costs around Rs.47,000 with 60Kg cylinder.

I am wondering what good can an efi kit do on a carbretor car?

Any quick expert suggestions? Please refrain from commenting without knowledge.

    Regards

is it a corolla XE with 2E engine?
has your mechanic lost his mind?

a plain non efi kit would work perfectly fine. the distributor is manually turned to advance the timming for cng
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    Let me try to Explain.

Between Kit for Carb and EFI only few Things are different.

    EFI -

    Same Cylinder like Carb
Same KIT like Carb Lendi Renzo Tn1.
    Advancer
    Emulator for EFI Injectors.
    Switch is different.

    Carb:

    Cylinder Same
    KIT TN1 Same
Advancer is SPark Advancer but 99% dont install it and just run by advancing timing from Distributor. You can also in EFI Car and save some money if your efi car comes with distributor but the engine will knock on Petrol.
    Switch is CARB one.

Now if he is saying he will install Emulator and EFI Switch in your carb car hmm dont know what hes upto

Buss yahe difference hai bhai EFI aur Carb kit main baki you can use carb kit in EFI by just installing EFI Switch and Emulator and advancer.
Speed costs money, how fast can you afford to go.
