Default Toyota Corolla Gli 2010 petrol consumption and performance issue.

    Dear Members,

I own Gli as a second car, it is done with only 8000kms on petrol (no cng kit installed) but I am quite unsatisfied with its performance. It seems under power, pick is annoying, rpm drops on turning and sometimes the engine turns off because of this.On the other hand its average is about 10 km/ltr within the city which seems unsatisfactory too.My 2007 xli is far better in every regard then this piece of junk.It seems that this whole series is defected thts why Toyota replaced it so quickly to save its reputation.

I humbly request the same model users to give their kind opinions on this issue and do compare its performance and fuel consumption with their vehicle as well.

    Regards
    Rao Asad Abdur Rehman.

1:u said its a failure? yes it is failure in an area where u might live.

2:whats the price of a corrolas windscreen?oil filter?air filter?bumpers? brother m sorry to say but price is almost the same if not less.

3:u want to say that hondas have unrelieable engines? they run for at least 300,000km plus without overhauling if driven by a normal human.

P.S: Altis 1.6 is more economical in local and long than 1.3 L XL/GL thingy
    PEACE!

Well as far as A/C is concerned, am not having any issue with its performance so it doesn't matter either its of Tharparkar or made in Chichawatni

Well I doubt where u live but am living in Pakistan and Honda is a failure for its road.Do admit this.

As far as price is concerned, Honda parts prices = 2 multiplied Toyota parts.

Now come to engine reliability... If the same normal human would drive a corolla then he could make 600,000.

Thanx for ur comment... I enjoyed replying u..
    Regards.

I also use corolla gli 2010 done 60 thousand on it with company operated petrol and laser iridium plugs and oil zic A+ it and you know what i am happy with it and power is gud... i do 1st gear in 50 and second on 90 and third on 130 i think as compared to city corolla is more reliable than city as the power is compared city eight and tyre are too small as compared to corolla thats why you feel differnce

The best 1.3 gli with respect to fuel consumption is 2008 old shape. It gives almost 12km/l in city w/o AC.and on highway It gives 14+ from 90 to 110 km/h.
