the Avg is correct. My uncle drives from Multan to Isb regularly every week he gets 19KMPL from his GLI all the time. He tested not by his meter but by calculating fuel and mileage. But when he drives it around 110.

your car millage is correct, if u drive at 60km/h in 5th. u will get around 19km/L. if u calculate by Dasi method u will get approximately same results. there are some haters on pakwheels for both honda and toyota.U can spot them by there biased comment and bragging about there huge experiences. ignore them!

It is quite possible. I kept my 05 xli on petrol for three years and after that added cng. It still does 14kms/ac/city(Islamabad) easily and 17 kms/lit on motorway.

oh guys oh guys c'mon.....you people realy think these multi info meters are that accurate?
why dont toyota claim 18-19 km/l from this motor?
forget these bloody meters and fill up the gas, floor it,calculate the average when tank ends.

Just fill up the tank, reset the trip, drain the tank upto the limit u want, top it up again and calculate the real world mileage of ur car.

Come here n post again. Chill.

yes there is an error, but your exaggerating it. here's what i calculated. On fuel reserve light, added 40 liters of fuel ... on next reserve light, i had 480 km on display. so according to this im getting, 12km/L... and my car is telling me 12.5Km/L ... now +-.5 error is not an issue as its not a Mercedes! Now same car managed to do 16km/L (Or 15.5km/L) in Lahore but very slow drive. if possibility is question then yes it is possible to extract these kind of mileage by planed driving which is not practical and comfortable ... that's y anyone ask me about this car mileage i tell them "its around 12km"

wow where did i mentioned any figure over which you are saying i'm exaggerating this?
forget the merc thingy man we arent doing comparison here.
12-14 was what i got by this motor(kept many of these).
okay lets say 18 is possible,at what speed?get a life, toyota ever claimed there fuel average at the speed of 90? seems funny.
standard is 120km/h ''with a.c''not without it.
this epic discussion is getting serious now.

    well ..

the best method i usually do on my cars to calculate the best possible mileage "IN CITY" with or with out AC is..

first , i have a specific pump from where i fill the tank ... fill the tank COMPLETE standing next to the pump wala ..

then drive the car exactly 100Kms ... go back to the same pump and have ur tank full again .. ( praying that the prices remain same )

now u have the amount in Rs per 100Kms as well as u can note the Liters per 100kms ...
There are thousand solutions to a problem, Question is .... How far are you willing to go ...

Its a very good avg on the highway specially on motorway. In city I can only manage to 12-12.5km/l because of rush at ferozepur road. In this post I am only showing mileage on highways with planed driving not inside the city. At motorway, I got 12.8km/l when I drove it at 125-130 km/h and got 10.8km/l when drove consistantly on 155-160km/h at motorway. It depend upon your driving style and techniqus. Some people use forced pedal and some not. Its very much frustrating when you drive at 100km/h with little food on the padel but it give reward at the end of the day. So, everyone has their own expericne. I am traveling alot and I have shared my experience with you people.
