    Default Corolla Axio & Prius

    Dear Pak Wheelers,
Hope you all are doing good.

I am on way to buy a new car, but confused as many others,

I wanted to know the views of Users of AXIO & PRIUS.
Specially about Mileage on Petrol, as my normal drive in Lahore City is at least 80kms per day.
So as per my access drive I need to buy an Automatic Car, I Love to Drive Manual but unfortunately it makes pain in my Leg's vein.. :-(

So have to buy an Auto Transmission Car...

Please share your honest experiences. I shall be Grateful.

    Thanks

Being hybrid Prius is obviously more fuel economical than Axio. But the only problem is lack of trained mechanics for Prius engine. The success (or failure) of this car in Pakistan shall be determined after a couple of years of its use here. So the choice now is purely your own preference.

Axio is a nice car and prius is a nice car as well. But axio has a its own advantages and prius has its own.

    prius is a hatchback
    axio is a sedan
prius is a hybrid with battery life
axio is just a petrol engine
consumption of axio 2wd ( remember not 4 wd ) is 13 km/l city and 16-17 km /l highway. ( tested on my own axio).
above al the average of fuel i have quoted is of original mileage axio imported from japan and not of the axio which is available in 15 lack 50 hazaar with meter reverse.

Does any know how much Prius run on a liter in city? There are lot of rather optimistic claims of 25-35 km/l claims on ads. Would be nice to know by someone who actually has kept it for a while and calculated the real consumption and not just hearsay.

it depend where u drive...if ur goin to drive within city with traffic n short distance travel it will give the best fuel consumption...if u r goin for long distance it can give bad fuel consumption
My lugnuts require more torque than your Vtec can put out...

I agree that it delivers good mileage in city but what I am looking for is some actual figure by someone who has used it for a while in Pakistan. I think our fuel quality is not that good and we can not rely on figures that work in Japan.

How about the comparison of Axio Hybrid and Prius Hybrid?
    Pros and cons?
    Fuel consumption?
    Parts availability?
    Suspension?

    Thanks!

With heavy foot prius will give not below 16.5 and maximum of 22-25
When i first bought prius first tank give me average of 16.5 with all time ac on but afterwards i experienced that driving hybrid is different than normal so I became more gentle to throttle now i have driven 3K km and the onboard multi info display is showing 18.5 kmpl which is increasing so i can assume it's giving me above 20 now
One thing which i have noticed is if i drive it at 80-90 kmph and if battery is full then average bar is fluctuating between 25-35 kmpl
If u residing in big city like lahore islamabad then it will definitely give you 20+ in city

Now we have axio hybrid as well 2014 model costing 23-25 lacks same tech as of prius, axio is less priced than prius 2014, prius is way expensive. We now even have Fielder hybrid as well checkout pakwheels used car section.
