Question Restoring an Indus Corolla 99

I don't know if restoring is the right word here but... Here we go.

I've a Corolla 99 XE. The car shows its age in many ways lol
The interior of the car is in quite crappy condition.

I want to replace everything I can inside the car (save for the seats etc). I need information on shops, markets and what parts to get, and what to look for in parts.

    Here's what I want changed:

    • Dashboard - All of it
    • Headlights - I want something that screams quality
    • The door thingies (panels) - I want to replace the manual stuff with powered windows

I'm a total noob in these matters and while I never cared before about the car, I now want it to shine and become young again. Changing that crappy engine is my next target but first I've to make it LOOK good.

    ANY tips would be appreciated.

My location is Wah Cantt, therefore any body shops in Rawalpindi and Islamabad are in my range.

    Bump

Should the engine change go first or the interior? I'm confused.

Change the engine first and if bodywork is to do be done, that should be second. After that think about the interior.

Well here is my recent experience..its a headache and plz dont change the windows to power manual is far better as i wasted my time changing machines after machines for the windows was of an hour work and took me full day coz they give you old thingys after that i had to put relays to speed the motors up yet they perform not good...so my suggestion is get everything from torkham as i got my self a complete dash board in just 4000 and the side pardas with the mirror buttons in 3500 so dont come to shuba bazar as i live here and recently had a bad experience and they will rip you instead i heard that rates in pindi are better....

^ Thanks for the replies. Everyone is telling me to get the interior done first and engine later. The body is fine.

Although my brothers think that Peshawar is a better place for all this.

All the stuff was bought from Torkham, this all was happend with the kind help of my dear freind West Khan, without his help it was impossible... these pics were taken few months back now it has a GT bumper with lip spoiler, body
kit except for trunk spoiler and lip are matched with body color

From what I can guess, you tried to save some money. I actually did a conversion as well. Changed all the door wiring, motors, door trims, interior wiring, etc. Alhumdolillah, no issues with windows at all.

@saqib84, i purchased spoiler for 4500 brand new from Peshawar from Rabnawaz, regarding the seats they were purchased from Torkham by West Khan, but i dont have the exact idea for how much they were bought, as we paid 43000 PKR at torkham for seats, GT Bumper, Dash Board, Center Console, Meter and Adjustable steering, carpet and some other stuff including electrician charges.
