Default Issues with fuel consumption of my Corolla XE

    AOA all Pakwheelers!

Guys I need expert advise. I'm having serious issues with my corolla's (XE 1995 model) fuel average. It's eating up petrol like anything giving around 50-60KMs in city in approx. Rs. 1500 (Petrol Price: Rs. 103/litre) with only one person on board without AC and that too with soft foot on accelerator. On CNG, it gives fine average of 115 Kms in 55KG cylinder which is absolutely fine. I'm facing this problem since the very first day of CNG installation in my car in 2008. Last time I got it tuned in June 2012 along with new spark plugs, tappets adjustments and carburetor cleaning but it didn't work.

I've consulted a mechanic and he said that its carburetor kit needs to be replaced. According to him "CNG use karnay say fuel jet khul jatay hain jis ki waja say fuel ziada use hota hai". Moreover along with this issue, my car's engine gives knocking sound on low RPMs on petrol.
Well I'm confused what to do next and how can I deal with this issue well because it runs perfectly fine on CNG, only having issues on Petrol.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Hamza

my 1998 corolla GL 1.3 carby non-CNG gives 12 km/l local easily whereas the CNG fitted ones give no more than 7-8 km/l
once CNG has been installed, the petrol average gets poor and the negative effect is irreversible, even if you remove the CNG

During CNG installation, they block most of air supply to the engine.

When you drive on petrol, that much extra petrol is given to the engine to compensate for blocked air.

So you can optimize for either petrol or gas consumption at a time, but not both.

My charade used to give 6 Km/L. But when i removed that air blockage, it went to 10Km/L

Remove the air blockage by opening air filter and also get carb cleaned and use good fuel from Caltex or Total pump. Both have premixed cleaners.
