    Default Corolla ee80 (85) Trunk Light Switch

    hi..there is a an issue with the trunk light that the on off switch which has to be pushed in by the trunk lock thingy is not being pushed in..hence the trunk light doesnt go off when i close the trunk(diggi)..kindly share pic of the switch showing its original location..thanx

    which switch? if u are talking about the button which is pressed when the trunk is closed then its not faulty..its working..if i press it with by finger the light goes off..this switch has to be pressed by the trunk lock thingy to turn off the light when the trunk is closed..but its not being pressed properly..

    try to stick some tiny particle of rubber,plastic or head of a screw or just stick some silicon on the point which presses that button.or take car to denter and ask him to make that point a lil bit forward.out.

    ch-hammas is right or you may change the full lock,,, try tilting the push nod slightly to the light switch ... pics would help a lot..
