Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

    DOT 4, I'll add it.

Some parts recently purchased from Ejaz Autos/Mehran Autos in Saddar:

    Toyota CVT TC 4L (08886-02105) = Rs.3700
    Toyota Air Filter (17801-0M020) = Rs.1400
    Toyota Oil Filter (90915-YZZE1) = Rs.400
    Toyota Brake Pads Front (04465-02220) = Rs.5500
Toyota Brake Shoes/Rear pads (Box not around) = Rs.2500

    EDIT: CVT Oil price corrected

@adilajmal and anyone else having Axio G. Is the consumption meter & fuel range shown accurately in the panel? If yes then once you refill the tank to full, what range is shown in kilometers?

    Three questions
My car did app 12/ltr, I have used 20W/50 M/oil during this time. A friend has suggested, that I use 5W/40 SL or pref SM. Do you guys think this will have an effect on the consumption rates.
Secondly, my meter is 52k, should I go ahead and change the transmission oil. Would that help?
Third, should I use regular fuel in the tank, or hi-octane, or maybe a mix of the two?

    Thank you for your inputs.

    1) Immediately switch to 5W30/10W30/5W40 (API SN/SM) oil. In synthetics you have the option to use Shell Helix Ultra 5W30, Liqui Moly 5W30 and 5W40 etc.

    2) Yes go ahead and get the transmission oil changed, owner's manual recommends change every 40k KM.

    3) If you car doesn't knock then no need to use HOBC, just get your car topped up from a good fuel pump (Caltex F6 is good).

So, Striker X, you want me to change this M/oil right away. I will be changing the transmission oil tomorrow. Oh and lately I have noticed that in the second gear the pick up, kind of slows down, you know? Is this something to worry about?

Unfortunately, the engine knocks, and quiet a bit, do you think, I tune the engine?
Who would be a good mechanic, in Islamabad. Who do you take your car to?

Ideally yes and there are no 'gears' in CVT and what do you mean it slows down? kindly elaborate on that a bit.

If your car's knocking then try mixing 30% HOBC 70% normal, my car rarely knocks but sometimes bad fuel = knocking. Regarding tuning, you can't really 'tune' these cars, just do preventive maintenance and they should be good.

Give this thread a read and then go for CVT oil change tomorrow: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/d-i...cvt-oil-change

Some information there regarding Axios. Thanks, StrikertX.

Now the questions; which is the highest variant (most options) in 1.5G?
What should be the price for 2011\2010, 1.5G?
Is it cheap to self import or one should get locally available vehicle?
If the audio/nav is in Japanese, can we replace the system/module with English version? if yes, what would be the damage?

    For a quote on a 2011 Axio G, contact @Sharabhi

And yes, nav from JP is in Japanese and language can't be changed, you'll have to change the HU.

I had been searching for the user manual in english since long but ultimately I have arranged the User Manual for Toyota Axio 2007-2010 by myself. If anyone is interested in buying it, he/she may contact a omerpq@gmail.com.
I will email the PDF of the English manual directly.

Getting 13km/l , with extremely light foot , always driving in eco , RPM near 1 most of the time , dunno if the avg is good or bad . any suggestions how to improve it ?
    - Sparks plug have been changed to as the OP Suggested.
    - Not sure which engine oil has been replaced but surely it's of havoline.
    - Standard tyre size also which is 195
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

Standard tyre size for X and G is 185/70/R14 as stated on the door jamb. Its 195/65/R15 for luxel I think, an owner of luxel can verify.

Correction: G's standard tyre size is 195/65/R15 as well.
