Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

nops nothing , just simple driving techniques,i am have started to use very light foot, i drive near 1 rpm and till 60 speed rpm remains on 1,i dont push the pedal hard once i start from halt position and most importantly i ignore stupid drivers on road.

The other day , my car milage was 14.1 with more then 700kms on odo,i made a trip chaklala from bahria in morning and when i came back home milage increased to 14.2 win win for me xD,you know readings dont fluctuate easily once odo reading increase.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

Haha. It's a good feeling to get that sort of mileage. Ain't it?

Sadly I am yet to see it on my Axio... :-/ drive with ECO on all the time.

how much are you getting now , i just now went somewhere, here is the mileage, even though it was night with no ac and less traffic on road and also i had reset my odo meter so mileage fluctuates alot during small routes.

Heh. I drive so calmly that the passengers get annoyed. For example, I don't honk, almost never. I still don't get rewarded with 14 km/l.

Just a heads up to everyone.

It is not necessary in Axio, and I suppose any other engine which has a separate Idle Speed Control Valve, to completely dismantle the throttle body for cleaning. The throttle body can be cleaned just the same without dismantling it - remove the air hose from throttle body and clean away the butterfly valve from outside as well as inside by opening it, you can simply use those alcohol pads they have these days, used for cleaning the skin before injections. A DIY was done today for the said but only a waste of time. I was not going to dismantle the throttle body, just the ISCV but went with a mechanic's mashwara......

The important part is cleaning the Idle Speed Control Valve assembly. It also seems to have a sensor which by part code comes up as "throttle sensor", which in my case was crusted with carbon and blackened.

You will not find English manual for Axio. Other region Corolla's have almost the same functions so you can compare JP vs English for functions.

    English versions from US Market:

There will be some differences b/w the two but hopefully still of some use.

Any idea when fuel filter/filter plate should be changed given the local fuel condition? 30k-40k is good?

    D - Drive
S - Slope (or sports, not sure)
B - Braking (while coming down from steep slopes)
