Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

I use a very light foot. I don't make the engine GROWL, just go easy with the acceleration. The mileage used to be good on highway (15+), even that is down now - hardly 14 km/l... I gave up on trying 'new things' to improve the mileage.

You can keep track of exact mileage by noting down the odometer reading + total liters it took to refill; but you have to do a full tank refill on auto. There are mileage apps available on Google Play/App Store for this. I use FuelLog (@StrikerX as well?) on Android.

Guys what is the market price of axio X or axio G, for 2006/07 model. Plz tell me as I am quite interested in buying an axio. It seems a very good car to me, with decent fuel mileage. Also tell me any pros and cons of this car? But telling honestly, now a days I am in love with this car.Whenever I see any axio on the road, it looks perfect to me And now it is my heartiest desire to buy one

You may check ads section of PakWheels to have an idea. 16-17 for X depending on condition and seller, 17-18 for G. The prices have not gone down for these. There are most probably a handful of Axios out in the market for sale and most are 2007-2008 models last imported in 2013. Good luck finding a piece that is clean and less driven in Pakistan.

    Pros - very comfortable ride
Cons - the speed breakers we have in Pak, with Axio's soft suspension, full loaded will most prolly hit them.

Fuel economy wise. I have driven it 16k in last year, with avg of 11.45 km/liter. Most in short city trips. Others here get better mileage. @StrikerX

Parts availability is not an issue, for the most stuff. But be warned that if work comes up in suspension (shocks) then genuine new ones would cost you 22-35k from local dealers. Kabuli ones 12-15k. KYB replacements cost less than 12k but they would have ??? over ride comfort.

Yes, but one more important thing. Get fuel filled from the same pump and from the same fuel dispensing machine @ auto otherwise you don't get correct mileage. Tested it out with PSO Jinnah park and my mileage was always consistent (+-0.5km/l) but for 3-4 months I got fuel filled from panj sarki Shell (opp. PC) and my mileage varied a lot, sometimes it was 15.5-16.0 or sometimes 13.8-14.4km/l. The fuel dispensing machine was the culprit, sometimes it overfilled compared to last time or underfilled. On the PSO pump, its been consistently 14.4-15.0 km/l

If your air filter is OEM then change interval for that is 15k-20k km. Oil/Oil filter depends on the oil you use, I change at 8k-10k (using OEM filter).

I have mids going on these days, I'll update the first post with basic maintenance intervals next week.
