Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

The reason I say is because even though one can look at a lot of data on Techstream, making sense of it all is going to make your head explode . If you are ready to do that then order yourself one, it should arrive within two-three weeks.

Check Engine light may be lit up because of a simple failed sensor or it could have been triggered by something more serious; again Toyota 3S will be able to make better sense of it all and do a proper diagnosis. I also say this because I think you mentioned once having had a little accident with your car so it may be related to that? Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary with the car?

Another option would be going to some place who might have the proper scan tools to check; it will cost you less than 2500 Rupees hopefully. I know of a place in Pakistan Town area who might have the scan tools so if you live anywhere near then you can try it. Let me know. Don't come from afar obviously as I am not 100% confirmed if they'll be able to check your issue or not.

Diagnostics is tricky... I currently got an O2 sensor that I suspect is faulty. There are no check engine lights BUT after checking its resistance, it is way beyond Toyota's normal specs but then why no CHECK-ENGINE light?

Thanks for the reply bro, Toyota motors is just 1-2 mins away from house, so i better go there and get it checked, and yeah the accident was a big one but the only thing which keeps me bugging is the gear change, it's a cvt transmission so i shouldn't feel the jerk of gear shifting but i can clearly feel it when the gear downshifts or viceversa.

If the jerk is at low speeds i.e. from 10-30km/h then its normal if not then there are a lot of reasons for that.

What should be the average of axio x in local ?
    Not on motorway.
I guess my axio hardly gives 11 km/l.
    Have treated it with love.
All services done. Like throttle body cleaning. Iridium plugs , etc.
Any ways to make the average better. I am a hypermiler still getting such average

Al-Rehman Auto's guy was supposed to call me back but he never did so I asked around and found another guy at Shell pump in Scheme 3; who did the checking some sort of CO2 gauge/voltages check. He said nothing is blocked. The check was for Rs.350.

I am satisfied for now. I think the CAT would get choked of car on Paki fuel only, that too after 50k or such.

Brothers getting humming sound from rear wheels. Not sure what it is... Any thoughts. It's very light and can hear it only when the windows are up.

How's the handbrake working? i.e. how many clicks and when was the last time you had the rear brakes serviced?

AOA all, I want a price check on Axio, preferably 2007-08 X model, Islamabad registered, non-amnesty scheme. The prices in ads on Pakwheels show a lot of fluctuation with some asking around 15-15.5 to others going for even 18. What would be a realistic price.
Secondly, I also have some confusion regarding the mileage that car gives. People on this forum and some others claim it gives around 13-14kmpl in city traffic W/O AC but I have heard others that it barely manages 11-12kmpl in these same conditions. @StrikerX

Handbrakes 4-5 clicks. Took it to a garage and they serviced the Handbrakes, changed disk pads for front wheels, changed fluid for rear diff as it's a 4wd but still the sound is there. The sound is only heard when car hits above 60kmph and on a downhill it's much sharper since you are not accelerating.

Went to toyoto rawal motors, they told me the engine check light diagnostic will cost me 3500rs, what should i do now? I didn't like their behaviour, they were doing choona on everyone, saw and heard with my own eyes and ears, telling a customer something and when the left telling their mates another story.

This is what mine gives, full 22000KM+ fuel history

As for price, 15-16 for X variant (2WD/4WD variant) in decent condition.16-17 for one in very good condition.
