Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

YES!! do NOT buy wiper blades from outside. Have you replaced yours yet? Mine are working fine but might need replacing in next year.

Instead 90W are being sold everywhere in part shops and they will tell you that they are okay to use but nope, they are not. They generate more heat and take more power. The power part might not be an issue but heat shall be, it will bend the headlight plastic.

The 55-60 replacement light (the exact as written on genuine light from Axio, too lazy to look up the exact) I ended up finding in none other than 3S for 350 a piece, right now I believe they are for 450 a piece.
    From the user manual:

    Light Bulb Watt (W)
    Headlight (discharge headlights equipped car)
    High beam (valve type: HB3)
    Low beam (discharge headlights: D4S)
    60
    35
    Headlight (halogen headlight equipped car)
    Low beam/high beam (bulb type : H4)

Yup, did once a few months ago. Could not take that one wet spot on the screen... and mine had ripped apart from one place.

Exactly, I was surprised to see the local part shops attitude while searching for the said bulb. I mean they were like 'sirf yahi 90w ka aata hai', 'yahi lagao, tez hai, behtareen hai' bla bla bla. I actually got one used bulb of 55W from kabaria for like 200, lol.

One more thing that needs mentioning. NEVER touch surface of the bulb (glass part). Even a light finger print on it means it is going to smoke and you'll be wondering what is happening. Latex gloves help. I had to clean the bulb with Alcohol swabs to remove the oily finger print. In fact clean it with the swab even if you did not touch it. I don't think even Toyota guys at parts shop were handling it properly.

I installed PIAA Xtreme white bulbs, For some reason, the result is same as of my stock bulbs, i'm pretty sure my headlights are messed up, transition from low to high beam isn't that great, the light spreads in all direction make everything visible otherthan road. I might go for projectors if the cost is feasible.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played.

No, i would need to install them in my current headlights. Would be great if i can find someone in RWP/ISL who has experience in installing this stuff.

You can get the projection ones easily from all major markers. No need to install them

I think the projection headlight costs 80k a pair whilst custom made will cost 20k

Umm they must be cheap. I don't think they are in great demand.

There is something seriously wrong with my axio brakes. When i press the brake pedal, just before the car stop, there is "fan type sound" from the front wheels. I have got new tyres installed and used "TOOL" on the disks bt the problem is still there. Then there is this "whistle" type sound also coming from the front right wheel. please suggest what should i do to get rid of this.

    @StrikerX

How much does Toyota 3S charge for wheel alignment? I have had extremely bad experience with the shop wallas outside. I don't think experience with Toyota 3S would be any better since people don't go by the book here in Pak.

Also, I have in my possession Japanese Service/Maintenance Manual for Axio so if you or anyone else has some questions about servicing etc. then ask away.

Second question of the day. Do the 3S mechanics use torque wrenches or not?
