Default Fan Club Toyota Corolla Axio

Hello Fellas, so there wasn't a dedicated Axio fan club thread and there was a need of one so this is it. I hope we can help each other out with whatever useful info we have on the car.

I'll start of with a lil intro of what I did right after getting my Axio 'X' (2WD).

    Maintenance
Transmission Toyota CVT-TC Oil for Axio with CVT transmission (40k KM recommended drain interval)
Engine Oil Use 5W30/10W30/0W20/5W40 Oil (API SN/SM)
Filters OEM Oil/Air filter from Toyota Capital I-9, change interval: 10k KM
Throttle Body Get it cleaned if its dirty (it probably will be) Every 20-30k KM
Brake Pads Change upon looking at their condition, mine were in good condition so didn't change em. Originals usually last LONG
Coolant Didn't change, change with original Toyota coolant every 2yrs or 100K KM's (whichever comes first)
Spark Plugs Denso FK20HR11 for Axio with 1NZ-FE (X and G) and Denso SC20HR11 for Axio with 2ZR-FE (Luxel), OEM recommended
Brake Fluid Change every year, OEM recommended is DOT3/4 oil

The above and also, I read this in another Axio forum:

    5) Auto lock / unlock / side mirror folding
Anyway to tap onto the gearbox signals such that I can auto lock the car doors when car is shifted out of Park and unlock when car is shifted into Park?
Similar for folding of side mirrors. Or any other signals I can tap for such purposes?

Has anyone tried this? and would it be possible to do this in a clean way i.e. without cutting any wires etc. (No one has responded to this question in the other forum)

I think the feature is present in American Corolla, since its mentioned in their User Manual.
Brother! I had no pungaa with any of the above features. This can lead to malfunctioning of any sort.

What you're saying is not possible in any clean way, I guess if one sets up the instrument cluster for this I.e. instrument cluster shows the current gear lever position (P,R,D,S,B) so its like this when the instrument cluster reads P, all doors auto-unlock and when at D it locks. You'll have to find which wire is giving that signal and all, its gonna be hit and trial. I would recommend against this.

    Thanks for your responses.

What's the difference between SK20R11 Iridium plugs and FK20HR11 (recommended here)? The needle to needle design in the latter?

FK20HR11 is the OEM recommended plug for 1NZ-FE. Haven't looked at SK20R11 so not sure.

Its not a problem, its inherent in all CVT Axios. It just lowers ratios as soon as speedo hits 15-20kph

p.s and it becomes more prominent when tires are changed from stock to larger/wider tires.

Thanks. Thought I had something to fix. I have 195/65/15 inch tyres. Could this be contributing to it.

Yes, when the speedo hits 20kph, your actual speed is 10-12kph so when it takes the ratios down you feel as if car is jerking, same case if you gently accelerate from that point onward.

I am not sure how easy it is to recalibrate the speedo with the increased tire size or if local 3S dealers do it, I am looking into this but so far no success :/

Thanks. Only question unanswered is regarding the headlight and indicator switch. It is a single piece. Dont know whether it can be repaired or do I have to get a new one. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I think I saw a re-calibration device on eBay, which would be connected to the OBD port and then simply enter the new installed tire size. At least that is what the description said...

But does that support JOBD? I think Toyota techstream supports this but need to confirm from 3S.

    1. AXIO Luxel 1.8 Dual VVTi (only a few available in pak)
    2. AXIO G 1.5 with Beige interior, leatheride seats, RPM meter, Climate control etc.
    3. AXIO X 1.5 as base variant of JDM Corolla

Parts of current corolla (local) mostly fit except body parts, so no issue at all.

Hi brothers. I have got a projector light for my corolla axio. But dont know which bulbs would fit? Looking into fitting it with HID kits. I think HB3/9005 would work but what about high beam since the high beam would be normal bulb? Someone recommended me D4S bulb but not sure....Has anyone installed a projector light with HID kits?
