The same problem happened with a friend of mine. Toyota frontier said the same to him. Then he got a kabli one from shuba bazaar for 9000.

I am also having a similar problem in my corolla 2009.Tuch tuch noise comes only when i switch ON AC but vanishes away but a grinding noise comes on low rpms like grrrrrrrr, grrrrrrrrr, grrrrrrrr like something is grinding. So till now i have not visited anyone regarding this problem.Anyone know what can be the culprit.Tomorrow will get the All belts of my car changed.

guys i had a sudden failure of compressor in my XLI 2010. After a lot of brain storming i went for a kabli compressor on experimental basis. But i guess it back fired as the new compressor worked for 15 days and gave up. The problem with the kabli is its bearing. It failed and now i dont know how can it be fixed. As mentioned in the initial post the mech says the bearing or the cluch cannot be changed. One of the mechNics i talked to is very sure that it can be doen. So, can someone plz share the experience or experties.

try if bearing is replaced ( logically bearing must be replaceable if no one has ever tried that another story )

otherwise buy new compressor from market instead of toyota dealership

kabli will most likely fail may not in 15 or 30 days but likely to fail in next season .....
