Thx for suggesting me Hash :p.

Manual gear will cost around 15 to 20k. Plus labour and other parts (Gear shift and cables and all keep around 8 thousand for that)

This engine's ECU of Auto will also work fine with manual but its better you chose manual but 80% of these swapped manuals engine work with Auto ECU's.

If you want to find ECU it will cost around 3000 to 4000Rs.

Call this number this guy got corolla engines and will help you in swap. Ashgar 03005275007

The trans holds nearly 7 or 8 litres of ATF. If you want you can do a cooler line dump to change all of it. But the guy saying it was noisy is major bad news.

I own a 94 corolla with same engine and gear... I had the same issue, i went through cleaning of oil sump and then new oil. Afterwards, the shifting was on high rpm, then i get my car tuned up by this guy near airport who did it well. After that the car was good in drive and mystery of high rpm shifting was solved. There is some adjustment in throttle body(i guess), i dont know what is it, but it solves the problem.

If you are talking about the 4 speed AT then I ought to ask who told you so? With that amount of fluid in your car's transaxle I'm surprised it still works LOL. Official amount mentioned by Toyota is 3.1 liters and that is after you drain and then refill. 1999 corolla 5afe engine -1329687
