    Arrow Unbelievable CNG milage on Corolla XLI 269 KMS on one cylinder

    Last weekend i got amazing CNG milage whn i was going back to home from swat to peshawar, filled CNG in swat pressure was around 230,i tripped meter to zero, distance from swat to pesh is 180 kms, i readched home and there were still two bars, the other day i used highway plus local. (Note only 5% AC is used). total milage i achieved is 269, im a good hypermiler and recently change my alloy rims to light weights, that may b a reason too,
    Kindly compare urz car milages aswell only cng averages. car is 2006 XLI.

    is it good avg in your opinion ?
    not good avg as its 1000cc with light body, compare its milage with corollas, iam normally getting 180+ in local without ac with 55 cylinder.

    everything is stock, engine is 2nzfe 1300cc, 70/80 kms frm 55kg cylinder very low milage ur getting, dont knw abt venturi, i think venturis r in carby cars nt in efi, . Here in KPK CNG pressure is always supreb, my 55kg cylinder always filled with 10kg+- cng that might b a reason, secondly ur trans is auto,

    My personal experience too, high pressure causes leakage, that is why I never fill my car to its full.

    Cylinder becomes a bomb too, so much stress on it, the recommended pressure is 200 Bars !

    i havnt faced prob of leakage due to high pressure , i always fill cng whn its completly empty, didnt filed half or near half, and pressure are sometimes 230+ bars. idont think soo that it'll blast due to high pressure if system is okay i.e. cylinder and lines etc.

    i hav quoted all the figures with 10KG+- cng , soo exclude 1.5KG,secondly u hav auto transmision, make habit of hypermiling, inflate tyres with 35psi, clean air filter once a week depends on usage, switch to lightweight rims, u'll note alot betterment.

    A good CNG mileage by COROLLA 1998

    yesterday my indus corolla did a very good mileage of 230km per cylinder. and i am very happy with this average.

    i filled tank on start of motorway. then goes from peshawar to islamabad G7, then returnd back on GT ROad, and the gas indicator reaches to zero, when i was near attock.

    160 km on motorway, + 70km on GT ROad and islamabad. = total 230

    details:
    CAR = indus corolla 1998
    ENgine= 2e, 12 valve 1300cc carby
    CNG Kit= LOVATO
    Cylinder= 60L
    Presssure = 220
    normal speed = 85 to 100

    Just to support the thread poster, please be noted that BTU value gas in our North Region is more than central and south. Secondly most pumps fill cng at 220-240bars (though illegal :-)) so we are privileged to get good mileage both km/tank and rs/km
