Question Strange Power Steering issue in Carolla 2010

    Asalam-O-Alaikum All
I am new to pakwheels so I am not sure where to ask this question but this seems to be the right forum.
I am having strange issue with Carolla's power steering.
After driving for some time the steering becomes a bit hard and while turning the steering doesnt turn back. Steering seems jammed while I can still feel that power steering motor is working but its not that freely movable like it was before.
Then if I switch off the engine and let the car cool down for about an hour or so the power steering is loosen and everything seems normal but again after some drive (when engine heats up) the steering is hard. The power steering light is not showing up any fault.

This issue came after about a month of repairing done by mechanic, he fixed tire road and steering bushes on lathe machine. Dont know how to explain in english. As you know that after pressing the bushes, boots or what ever they are called the steering becomes hard for sometime until they loosen up a bit. So the steering was hard for few days but then it got soft. But now after one month or so the above mentioned problem appeared.

I went to mechanic and he checked and loosen up the tire road a bit. But the problem is still there. I would be glad if any expert here could help me or forward my query to some expert. Or suggest any expert mechanic in karachi or preferably in Hyderabad.
    Thanks in advance

Since nobody helped me with this I found out the solution. I am posting this just in case if somebody else get the same problem
As I mentioned that the issue came after going to mechanic. The Lathe Machine guy actually removed a metal piece in the steering box with a Teflon rubber piece (to subside the noise that become noticeable in bumpy rides). That rubber when driving and turning became hot after sometime and begin to melt. this caused the steering to become stiff.
    The rubber part is attached

Aoa, could u please elaborate the issue you were facing with ur steering wherl?
Because I went through exactly the same situation and nw with time I have noticed a whinning sound while turn the steering. And also it gets harder while I turn it to any direction.
So if u give me the details of ur issue I might find the solution to my problem too.
    Thankyou for posting.
