    1. Make sure your car's tool box is complete.

    2. Disconnect the wires at the bottom ov the front seats. These are the seat belt reminders.

    3. Unbolt all the seats and take them out.

    4. Unscrew the centre centre console.

    5. Pull out all the side plastics/rubbers which hold the carpet in it's place and pull it out.

    6. Wash the carpet with that kind ov brush with which tires are rubbed. A bigger brush as used for home carpets is slow, takes more time and energy and results are not equally as good. Keep brushing till all water/surf turns brown. This way, you'll know all, or at least most ov the mud is out.

    7. Hang the carpet to dry.

    8. Wash the car's interior in the meanwhile...and all the plastics.

    9. Once dry, put the carpet back in.

    10. Make sure to settle the corners in their place. You must see each and every nick and corner carefully. Don't be too hard on the plastic stuff or it'll deform.

    11. Put back the plastic/rubber stuff that holds the carpet in its place.

    12. Return the centre part.

    13. Put the seats in the end.

One thing more is to keep a box ready for all the nuts/screws/bolts to go into. Otherwise it'll be difficult to place all once you're ready to put the vehicle back in order.

You'll find very few DIYs here too.

It's a time consuming job so start early in the morning. The carpet needs lots ov sunlight to dry.

Vot is there to be afraid about? Do it yourself. If you're still not comfortable, ask the guy to do it. Where does he work though? People working at service stations and more so, the polishing ones and the seat cover fellows are the ones you should trust. First choice should be the polishers.

Since they will have to take everything out to clean the carpet i am afraid they might charge you for whole Inter cleaning., i am not sure though you can always go and do bargain for yourself and see if that suits you or not !!
