    Corolla is always a hot item among big and small theives in Pakistan. I got affected of this phenomenon yesterday.
    My father needed the spectra for a short trip to some place, he always prefers it on long journeys so i took the rolla to office. At evening, when i came out, all four wheel cups were missing.

    Ghuncha has checked for price and one wheel cup costs 950 rupees.

    I think thats criminal price for a wheel cup considering the fact that these are made by AVT Pakistan.

    After this incident, on my way back home, it was raining and visibility was less.
    The pillar made such good obstacle (as always) that i nearly missed a motor cycle coming from right at an intersection.

    Then near Shifa Hospital, a Hyundai Excel made a sudden turn in front of me and my rolla baby skidded like a snowsledge as always. i managed to keep it streight otherwise both front wheels were locked. Skid mark was like a 100 yards.

    Then again upon reaching my house, at a blind intersection where i always horn before going, a bike came in front ignoring the horn and the baby skidded again. Thank GOD i reached home safe and sound.
    Those two braking incidents sure made me forget about the wheel cups.

    In short i got most of the famous corolla related expereinces in one day
    Keep a cool head and wear seatbelts!

    @Civilized_engr
    All vehicles manufactured in Pakistan have these quality issues but corolla is better than these in quality,Parts availability and Maintainance cost.
    Dont install Power windows.Just install the central locking system with security system.Read this link for an idea of security system:-
    https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply...umID!1~pw.html
    https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply...umID!9~pw.html

    As for the annoying air intake sound,read the following D.I.Y or if having trouble can mail me:-https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply...mID!27~pw.html

    Remeber to change tyres to 15'' alloys with 195/65 R15 Yokohama C-Drive for stability and control of vehicle.
    The best thing about 2.0D is its engine having enough torque to climb any hill with almost no hinderance.Having a consumption on full tank with A/C local+ Highway around 856km with top speed of 120km/hr.
    I filled my Vehicle at Peshawar.Drove to Abbottabad.Drove the vehicle locally.Went on road betwwen Abbottabad-Nathiagali for drive with A/C till the last steep hill climb towards kalabagh & returned.Went to nathiagali next day with A/C till Last steep climb towards kalabagh and shut it off as it got cold.Drove around there till donga gali and returned in evening with turning on A/C after steep climb areas.Next day repeated the same.Drove the car locally in Abbottabad with A/C during stay.Returned to Islamabad with A/C and feul gauge low light was still OFF with feul near `E` mark.Vehicle was driven 788km and gave an average of 11.6km/L.The suspension is comfortable than most of its grade/class competetors with large trunk capacity and enhanced passenger leg room and seating design.

    @Spectra
    It was really a Bad experience for you. And obviously the spare parts are too much expensive.
    like 30K for Fog lights or RS 950 for the wheel covers. Usually the tire guys get the tires + rims + cover for 7.5 K . SO this price of 3800 for four wheel covers is not justified. Better to get a RS 350 set of BTurbo.
    If it was some one else on the forum I could have offer him the orignal set for RS 3500 but I know you will be satisfied with the BTurbo set. when you will compare the price vs quality differenc. And maybe BTurbo ones are more better.

    For other members on the Forum I own a 2005 Altis automatic and 1982 Corolla.
    If you walk away from your car and don't look back, you have bought the wrong car.
