found it on facebook it clearly is corolla.
They should test the 1.3L version on high altitudes, steep climbs of Nathiagali. Because last time they put an underpowered 2NZ-FE in Gli/Xli. Lets hope they do not repeat that mistake this time and offer 1.3L engine which is coming in international Corolla.

I don't see the point of doing any 'secret camouflage' testing here. What sort of changes will the indus people consider Wasay if something is not upto the standard (which is quite low- looking at past pkdm's)..
Plus most parts will come from Thailand, Japan, etc so it's not like the local Toyota people can bring any cosmetic / interior / aerodynamic /mechanical changes..

apart from testing, it creates stir (an example is people from this thread) so its a marketing strategy too

Btw i actually like the interior. It looks mature and elegant as compared to civic's plastic toy-like interior. BUT the hell no immobilizer?
does 1.8 comes in CVT only?

another question, how come this new 1.33 engine delivers a lot more power than previous one? and what will be the fuel consumption

Ideally 1.8 should not be coupled with a cvt. A cvt tranny is supposed to optimize efficiency whereas a 1.8 engine is all about power.

The new engine is 1.33 whule the old one was 1290cc. Plus it has been optimized to generate more torque.

This is trial drive dear. If unfortunately there is some issue they will change anything. So if they reveal the shape and later got changed so this will downgrade their market. Or let's suppose car is out of order on a road then ppl will take picture that look zero meter car is our of order in trial phase. And that picture will be shown internally.

Same like 3G in launched but still under cover.

1.8L is for power? Lol you're thinking by pakistani standards mate...cvt can't work with performance setups as it's a very delicate n fragile tranny.

How? Well dont know the details, but is it possible? Yup, Definitely!
For example, a honda k20A churns out 220hp and its a 2L engine. That translates to 110hp/L. Vtec just kicked in yo \m/

who said cvt is delicate n fragile tranny? i ve driven 290bhp harrier hybrid which is cvt n also recently i got new Audi A4 which come with 8 speed cvt plus it got 350nm torque....cvt is future tranny for being more econimical n hold power too.......mostly all hybrid cars such as prius which is cvt n yet it hold more torque than normal car.....do u know the world fastest supra E.Kanoo's supra runs on performance cvt gearbox doing 6sec quartermile!!
My lugnuts require more torque than your Vtec can put out...

Not Pakistani standards. In europe and japan cvts are given in small cars. Traditionally cvt cannot work with performance cars, as you pointed out. So for people who had a complaint with current altis that it is underpowered with 1.6 tranny; the 1.8 is not gonna be any better. Only thing better is that current pne has only four gear ratioes and thus consumes more fuel. The new one will be fuel efficient but still it will not be a performance car.

And technicqlly speaking its not a tranny either. Its a pulley system.

new 1.8 dual vvti 2ZR-FE comes in premio 2011+ with 7 speed cvt n this new Altis coming with same engine hopefully its not goin to use same shitty 4 speed antique auto gearbox like in current Altis 1zr-fe dual vvti

new 1.33 dual vvti 1nr-fe engine got more compression 11.5:1 n slightly more torque as its 1329cc but i dont think it will meet our fuel standard is very low for this high compression engine
My lugnuts require more torque than your Vtec can put out...

that average fuel consumption is worrisome
people who use Highbeams.. once day would suffer too bigtime. People who drive slow on fast lanes, remember one day a vehicle carryin ur son, dad might get late to hospital coz people like u. underaged driving will land u in bigtime trouble one day or the other.. And the Blue indication light on ur speedometer denotes "High Beams"

No one in indus toyota with a sane mind sign off on 1.3, 1.6 and 1.8 model all together.

This is all misinformation and bakwas.

    Its either 1.3 and 1.8
Or 1.6 and 1.8 and the 1.3 segment car will be toyota eitios as discussed earlier.

Thirdly no way is toyota going to introduce 7 speed transmission with paddle shifters.

My best guess is same 4 speed gear will be provided with 1.8 engine. But keep fingers crossed for 7 speed transmission(still wont have paddle shifters)

Climate control, immobilizer, abs, ebd, cruise control, projector head lamps, rear view camera, rear electric shade, extended warrenty etc thats all.

Yes its a rumor mill but try to make sense do not speculate insanly.
    RIP
