    I think better check at Peshawar there, with Kabli parts dealers. The authorized people will charge you too much for these items. Note that you must get all the right and complete accessories(ECU for ABS and wirings) for the above mentioned items. You can imagine well that here at authorized dealers, the plastic intake manifold of an XLI is worth Rs.30K, while at open market, a friend of mine bought it for Rs.14K....

    I don't think Corolla 3S dealers install ABS or Power Windows in XLi, it is beyond their technical capacity not a profitable job as few customers would ever go to them.

    In open market you are lucky to find a qualified mechanic to handle the ABS job. Never give it in the hands of non-professionals because breakes are a sestive part and you may end up with no brakes in emergency if these are handled by unqualified people. So forget ABS.

    Now power windows. Again it is you luck that the aftermarket P windows work fine for a few months. Do'nt waste your time and money. But if you are bent upon doing it. Go to Shoba bazar and get P windows taken out from stolen or accidented SE Saloons and GLis with complete wiring and motors.

    And do not forget your camera when you go out to get ABS and P windows. Even if you do not get any, you will get a plenty of photos for Pakwheels.

    Have fun

    THat plastic air intake manifold in corolla usualy gets blown up by backfire on CNG.

    About ABS, its a long shot to get it installed by some local mechanic and cost is also prohibitive.

    plastic intake manifold? is it plastic or looks like plastic or you are talking about the cover over it?

    intake manifolds are ususally made of forged aluminium to withstand the high temperatures and heat.

    i think its the usual aluminium intakes but plastic covered. looks more like a insulation material.

    ABS, i called rawal motor (RWP) and the guy told me that just the brake sensor costs 100K.

    Power Windows, get it done by the dealer. would cost you a little more but would come under warranty.

    oops then i would say....one hell of a plastic its similar to smthg i came across a few days back. there was program on national geographic where they concluded that special glass (protected glass) is more often used in buildings these days as its stronger n cheaper than concrete n even some alloys.

    @szuberi
    its the intake manifold... see the throttle body on the right side of the manifold.... and if the exhaust is not chromed, there is always rust and heat marks on it.and i think a plstic type material which can handle exhaust temperatures will be expensive then the car...lolz

    here is a pic of the header

    ok..thanks for the second pic....by the way..the new K series honda engines are setup the same way....header is towards the firewall...i guess it reduces the distance that the spent gases have to travel...but anyhow
