    Default Tail Light of Corolla XLI 2010

    Hey all!

    Today my car got hit by a rickshaw from the back and broke the right side tail light. Actually tge light is intact but the cover got broken. Do I need to replace the complete light or only the cover can be changed. I heard there are people on scheme road lahore who can change the cover. Any ideas?

    If not, whats the price of new light from the toyota dealership. I have a rough idea that its around 14k. I called a couple of spare parr dealers at montgomery road and they are giving it for 8k. Although they are saying its genuine but I am not sure.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    i got a genuine front right headlamp for 14k! that was original! so i guess the one costing you 14k is genuine! replace it as a whole... changing the cover will allow air, dust, fog to be accumulated in it!

    Don't know about Montgomery road price but @ dealership its about 8200 rs. Bought 3 months ago for a friend. Try calling some dealership.

    No need to buy complete tail light. You could easily get the top cover of tail light from Montegmory road. Would cost you around 1000 at maximum rather even cheaper than that. Ask someone to locate you Chittagong Autos or you would be able to easily find from any small shop.
    But remember one thing, bargain for price. While buying, pretend being a fool but act being a wise. Good luck

    Furthermore, there are many light-makers sitting at the side, they would get your cover fixed for not more than Rs 200.

    Don't get the covers; the colours will fade dust and water will accumulate inside.

    Now the rear tail light is in two parts one outside to the trunk the other part is inside.

    You can buy both sides separately than the complete light.

    If its broken from both sides; I live in islamabad but source my parts from market;

    The lights at Montgomery road are genuine too; source some repeatable seller; dealership is charging premium and tax: rest there is no difference in the lights.

    There isn't anything like genuine light covers. All are local made. But they are much cheaper. Go for tail light cover and get it properly sealed with a sealant.
