When I was going to buy a new car, I also weighed all pros and cons between XLi and City and finally settled for XLi because it is much more graceful than the short-nosed city. People now prefer the older city which was not a successful model, so imagine the popularity of new city. Though city may be better at fuel consumption, its parts are very expensive compared to Corolla, plus Honda's are very delicate cars that's why you hardly see any old honda in good condition as they start withering away from the day one.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

Autophile dude, what r u saying? the 2002 model city has been popular from day 1. Infact that model was so successful, it was the one that never allowed baleno's market share to take off.

I'D SUGGEST THE CITY. I KNOW ITS REALLY UGLY BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST IS THE PRICE BY WHICH IT IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN A COROLLA. SECONDLY, FUEL CONSUMPTION IS BETTER TOO. IF ONE LEVELS OUT THE AMOUNT OF PARTS REQUIRED AND OTHER EXPENSES SUCH AS FUEL, ONE WOULD STILL FIND A CITY BETTER (IN TERMS OF MONEY) . . . UNLESS OF COURSE YOU'RE UNFORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. THE COROLLA'S FULL OF FLAWS ESP THE DAMN BRAKES WHICH IS A PRETTY SERIOUS ISSUE. NO WONDER SO MANY OF EM ARE AT THE WORKSHOPS. MUCH AS IT HURTS ME TO SAY SINCE TOYOTA'S BEEN MY FAVE SINCE I WAS BORN (1984).
