Hi,
I recently bought a brand new 2013 model Toyota Corolla GLI and have only driven it for approximately 11000 KMs. I replaced Previously Owned Honda City 2006 Model with Toyota Corolla GLI on which , i was getting fuel efficiency of minimum 15KM/Ltr within the city and almost up to 19 KM/ Ltr on long routes depending on from where i get my car fueled.
As excited as i was about the new Corolla, I have to admit, it has one of the worst fuel efficiency stats so far. I hardly get 9.75 km/ltr average since day one, and only recently got up to 12 KM / Ltr on long route while traveling between faisalabad to Multan.
I am wondering if this low average is only issue with my car or is any one else also getting average of 9.75 km / ltr?/?
Is there a way to tune up the car or make some modification to increase the fuel efficiency without compromising the engine, or putting any extra strain on it?
An advise from an expert would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Waqas
