    Default Noise from belt area in Corolla

    As the winter is approaching and its very chilly in the morning, whenever I start my car (1.8 altis 2006) in the morning, noise starts coming from around the belt area, and after 2-3 min it goes away as the engine is warm. It didn't used to have this problem before, just first time I m noticing it..Does it mean I have to change my BELT?

    Physically check the belt condition,if there is no sign of crack & snag then only retightening belt will eliminate this problem.

    @OP
    If you dont wanna change it

    1.Fill a small amount of mobile oil in a small syringe.
    2.Start the engine.
    3. carefully apply the mobile oil on the inside of the belt .
    4.so much so that you see all the inside of the belt is wet

    Problem solved

    I had to change bearing of Belt, Belt was in a very good condition and mechanic told me its not the culprit, actual fault was with the bearing of the belt attached with generator. (Chain SUB-ASSY 13506-21030, cost 1400), Labor cost 600 = 2000.
