Thread: For Gli auto 1.6, which oil is better?

    Default For Gli auto 1.6, which oil is better?

    ihave run on petron for few thousand km. I don't want to go for petron, I am confused among three options below.
    which oil will suite the car
    Shell ultra E
    Total 9000
    Zic OW/QX

    will appreciate ur advice

    exactly, or har mechanic jo dealership k ilawa ho desi mechanic nhi hota, you're right its about satisfaction, dealership waly aap ko zyada interfere nhi krny dety so once you have enough knowledge about carz you wont be satisfied by their work. and as i said before, hath hony ka chance usi k sath zyada ha jisy kam krwany ka experience na ho. or jb aap aik kam k liye dealership ko hmesha double pay krty ho unlike occasionally with DESI MECHANIC tw soch lo k hath kis k sath ho rha ha.

    incase u dint realize my earlier comment was sarcasm to your logic of getting the car fixed a number of times for the same issue.

    i think u have not gone to a dealerships. as per my experience they do let me near the car all the time while work is being carried out.

    other than that they are specially trained for my car they dont do hit n trial. i always ask them about what and why and they always happy to let me know about how my car works and how it should be.

    my father had a mechanic he was great till the cars came without efi engines after that he dint know what to do. i do go to a local mechanic but hur dafa batana perta hai bhai jub plugs kai liyay coils utaro to kisi mitti sai saaf jagha per rakhna. engine main matti will mess it up.

    asal main baat yeh hai keh paisa kum lug jayay 3-4 dafa lug jayay magar dealership walay kai paas nai jana jo intehai piyar sai ap ki gari per kam keray ga aur butayay ga keh kiun ker raha hai koi specific kam aur kiun nahi ker raha.

    im sure ap ka desi mechanic ap sai oil change kai other than oil kuj nah kuj paisay leta ho ga other than oil n filter.

    but dealship walay nahi letay. koi warrenty issue ho to forun part badal detay hain. agar ghalti ho to usay own kertay hain aur extra paisay charge nahi kertay. u know honda dealerships give free ac service every summer. which is worth 3000. ap ka desi mechanic aisi baat sooch be nai sakta.

    this is my opinion. im not forcing it.

    but meray hisab sai end main hath uss kai sath hota hai jiss ki gari aik he kam kai liyay 3 baar khulti hai aur phir bee kam sahi nai hota.

    aap mery se 10 sal bry ho ma kya kahun, aap ko zyada fit qism ka jawab diya tw aap kaho gy k bacha ha, immature ha or show maar rha ha ne tw aap ko kuch maintenance reciepts k scans dikhata.

    Even Ferrari prefers Shell over Mobil 1 and LiquiMoly.

    i read this conversation, and i must ask you are saying desi mechanic as if Dealerships hire mechanics from abroad ?
    an owner must know how the wheel spins faster when he accelerates, without basic knowledge on your car, you deserve to get "almost robbed" at dealerships.
    and you are concerned about the warranty thing, i have experienced many local mechanics fixing things under the same charges if the repairs doesnt comes out to be satisfactory.

    i have done 1,75000 with it, 5k drain interval and its fine

    im saying specialization sai behtar kam ki execution hoti hai.

    and as i told u some mechanics are trained in japan for a month or so yearly.

    all others do visit the plant to get training on new vehicles. i dont get robbed at the dealership. i get the right treatment for my car from the right people with the right procedure.

    also i get satisfaction from their work so no1 can tell me that i deserve to get robbed.

    i believe getting robbed has to do with a combination of time and money which is spent again n again for the same reason.

    honda dealerships used to carry guard filters only but they stopped because guard filters have seal leaks. now they give a filter which has double the mileage and is higher grade filter.

    if u want to go to a desi mechanic please do so but dont force me to do it as well cuz i am convinced that cars maintained at local workshops have more break downs and dont perform as well as compared to cars that go to dealerships.

    i knew what his reply was gonna be and even had the answer for that but aint got no time so i thought of dealing this argument with SANU KI.

    forums are a way to share and gain knowledge, not to argue but to make use of given suggestions if you agree. and no one is forcing you to do something if you're not willing to do it. i didn't mean to start an argument and ruin the thread.

    we know that we are the most stubborn nation in the world and if we'd have to prove that 110=0 we'd do it by bending laws of mathematics and saying that ones are sideways to show both 11 and equal sign.

    my ans was gonna be tevta jitny b logon ko diploma, degree issue krti ha tw sb suzuki, indus, atlas k pas job tw ne na krty. kux baer se work experience gain kr k idr workshop open krty hn. and they know how to work on modern cars. jis mechanic pr mera trust ha wo hmari khyber or mehran ki tuning pr b timing light se ignition timing or exhaust se emissions(with rod type device that tells co and nox amount) test kr k proper mixture set krta ha unlike normal roadside mechanics relying upon how easily car starts and how it sounds, he's got a obd2 scanner for efi cars(our se saloon in past, now civic).
