Default Oil shifting for my altis and premio

Salam..i have altis1.6mt and premio 1.8 both dual vvti. I use zic A for Altis and Zic A+ for premio.i feel noise of premio is a bit increased from the day one i inserted zic A+ but because of small city the most thinest oil in the shop was Zic A+. Now i want to change both my cars from zic because of low quality of zic.i want to go for some imported one.plz recommend me should i???and plz also tell me about oil filter.im using local guard flter in both of them and change oil and filter after 3k.should i go for same guard one or use some other? ?and should be the interval for both oil and filter change???thanks..jazakAllah

Get 5W30/10W30/5W40 (API SN/SM) synthetic/semi-synthetic oil. The brands that I'll suggest are Shell Helix Ultra, Liqui Moly synthoil etc
You can keep the drain interval at round 5-8k km and please use OEM oil filter, not guard or any local brand.

    Already replied.

Use 5W30 or 10W30 or 5W40 synthetic or semi synthetic oil with API SM/SN rating.

LM has 5W30 and 5W40 oil in market, not sure about Mobil1. Shell Helix Ultra is 5W30.

If you come to think of it brand is really your personal opinion. Make sure you get the viscosity right and only use OEM filters.
I would recommend shell helix ultra. API SN 5W-30. Use a genuine toyota filter and change oil at 5k kms or six months whichever comes first.

Liqui moli is an inferior company as compared to Mobil
f your cars mileage is less then Mobil1 will be the best choice. In cheaper alternatives Caltex 5w40 fully synthetic is the best.

He is already complaining about Zic A+.

Umairaziz; valve chatter is slightly more with thin oils, but it does not effect the engine or its performance.

Always use ORIGINAL oil filter for ALTIS. They are different for 1.3 Corolla & 1.8 Altis (different part #) due to different oil pressure setting.

I'll say yes, but unluckily not in Pakistan.
Few years back some people used to import Mobil1 made in USA oil here in Pakistan. It was simply outclass, unmatchable, outstanding, etc.
But now its being re-packed here in Pak. So I personally cannot consider it as of same quality as was older USA made oils.

One more, there are two mobils in Pak. One is Mobil1 and other one is Mobil Askari. And I hope very soon, something else will come like Mobil Original or MobileUS, etc.

LM oils are coming directly from Germany. Though LM has not sent their SN/GF-5 grade oils yes in Pakistan (0/20 & 5/30) because these are very expensive and SCI is upto 40K for some German cars, but for the time even their SM & SJ grade oils are performing very well in Pak.

So that means you claim that Mobil Askari Lubricants are selling fake unbranded oils in Mobil containers.... hmm how can you claim that the LM that you get for really cheap (high profit for you) is not fake unbranded oil? What about PSO selling castrol - you assume PSO is also a tail ki hatti.

You literally have lost it. - why dont you fill up some samples and send it over to some oil testing labs, you will get your answer. Jeez man,,, talk about naive??

Sir I totally agree with you.

I used to be employee of MAL Pak and all Lubricants are 100% imported from Malaysia which makes sense as its the closest dealership.

Those days of Sony of Japan and Mercedes of Germany are long gone.

Even the Mobil Super 1000 Mineral oil is 100% imported and can one on one match with Mobil Super available in USA.

BTW PSO has stopped selling castrol and selling their own Carrient brand which is super flop.

Castrol GTX and Magnatec are distributed locally by Muller & Phips Pakistan and the magnificent Castrol Edge is not available in PAK.

Brother technically speaking you are right that Mobil 1 is top dog like Shell but the problem here is that in recent month Mobil 1 products are gone insanely high.

I bought the old stock in December 2013 for Rs. 3,550/- for Mobil 1 5W50 direct from factory (retail was 3,950/-).

Now the Mobil 1 I can find is available for Rs. 4,400 and my MAL connections are unable to provide me at discounted rates.

The LiquiMoly Synthoil is top grade LM oil and it competes with Mobil 1 Extended Performance which is not available in Asian regions.

So now I prefer LM over Mobil 1 due to Mobil 1 old formulation and price point only for my 9th Gen Civic.

For my 2010 Corolla and 2005 Prosmatec I use tried and trusted Mobil Super 2000 from 50L drum direct from factory.

Brother use Shell HX7-E will cost you roughly Rs.2,400/- from retail petrol pump or Metro store and Rs.2,200 from wholesale.

If you use guard filter change at every 6 months or 6,000 km whichever comes first Guard filters are good I am using in 2002 F Premio (since 2008) and 2010 Corolla.

The genuine Premio oil filter is of Rs. 2,450/- and air filter Rs. 2,650/- so its basically a waste of money because you will eventually change it at every 6 months or max 12 months in a dusty and hot environment like Pakistan.

If you can afford it then genuine is good but let me assure you it will not give u any performance gain or change in driving.
