    Default Is this normal in Corolla Gli???

    @syncview , @SER_GTR

    I recently noticed that even though the heater is off, I can still feel little bit of warm air coming out of the air ducts, I can feel it especially from the right side duct on the driver seat dashboard near the door. I noticed the air comes out only when the temp knob is on the red/warm setting and the warm air is a bit more when the car is running on the road and less when it's stationary.

    So is this normal or something might be faulty???

    Thanks in advance!

    24 years ago I sat in a Mercedes S280 W140 in chilling cold weather the heater used to work even after 15 mins when engine is shut off.

    Never witnessed that in any Japanese car not a recent Toyota Crown.

    If Heater Off means ......... blower Off or your temperature switch is on Cold?

    Supposing if blower is on but Temperature switch is on cold and you still get little heated air then this means your valve that supplies radiator coolant to heater is not closing properly. Check to see if your cable is intact. After that if it is and is adjusted correct change your valve if faulty.

    Is it normal..... depends on cabin temprature i guess but i dont feel its normal

    His car is normal - if the temperature selector is on hot - hot coolant circulates in the heater core regardless of fan operation. What he felt was the fresh air vent which was subjected to the heater core.

    Full automatic climate control cars cannot do this.

    Also, whenever you select window from that left most dial, your ventilation would get turned on (notice the button getting depressed) this is because fresh air is much better at getting rid of that fog on the windshield. Ans yes, keep a copy of the manual handy, it will save you from scamming auto mechanics!
