    Default Whistling noise from Alternator XE corolla

    Aoa bros there is a whistling noise from alternator.
    Is it repairable or i will have to get a new alternator(kabli)
    Any wise advise n pl guide me to the person who can do it in rwp/isb

    remove belt and spin by hand, if you hear or feel it rough replace the bearings in it, If its noisy and you dont repair it - it might sieze and throw off the belt - that will be a sad story as the car will not be driveable.

    @ Xulfiqar bhaee can the bearing b replaced? the electrician ustad says better to replace the alternator..

    Replacing bearing didnt last long as of fake bearings better deal in exchange

    Using genuine bearings is mandatory for any application. To make it easy, go to a parts shop and ask for the bearings for your alternator, note down the bearing numbers and buy genuine parts from a bearing supplier - use the same code they are universal in this case.
