Post Front Shocks for toyota altis 2006

Guys my cars front shocks are a bit hard. I want a suggestion whether I should get them repaired or install new ones? If I to install new ones from where should I purchase? I have asked rawal motors they gave me a rate of 25000. I asked frm Ijaz autos located in Sadar Rawalpindi he told me a rate of 10000 for front shocks wth 6 mnth warranty. there is also an option of kabli. What do u guys suggest should do. Thanks

The genuine shocks made by agriauto pakistan are 13K.

KYB Malaysia gas shocks are 19K.

KYB Japan gas shocks are 22K.

All else is used and waste of money.

    Kabli are repaired many times.

334450 & 334451 are the left right part number.

Depends upon your level of satisfaction, budget and history/ future of your car.

    1. For how long you own this car and bought new or used ?

    2. How much budget can you comfortably spare for the job ?

    3. Which brand is installed previously and were you satisfied with their performance ?

Answering these question will enable you to make a decision all by yourself. If you ask me, I would say that the better you maintain and feed your ride, better is the performance and response of the ride. You take care of it with quality, and it would take care of you with reliability and performance.

Budget is not an issue. Are kyb shocks stock or better than stock? Rear shocks are soft i press the trunk and with a little push it goes down easily. I want comfort thats wat i desire means small bumps should not make me worry

Brother the KYB Japan shocks are better than anything available in the market unless you can import Bilstein dampers for 500$ from USA.

Agriauto will also do fine for 5 years as they are the ones which came factory fitted in local XLi.

So if you were satisfied with the car on bumpy roads when it was new (which everyone is from XLi) go for Agriauto.

You should definitely dont expect Indus to use KYB shocks in XLi and sell it for 1.5M in the year 2014 !

Rear shocks are half the price.

The OEM Toyota Thailand ones in red packing are also available for 22K which are stock in Axio etc.

Dont buy from Toyota 3S they overcharge.

Buy from Karachi if u have any relatives here would be 5-6K cheaper easily for both Toyota Thailand and KYB Japan except the Agriauto ones.

My cars rear shocks are.very soft. I push the trunk slightly and they go down. While for the front shocks they are stiff. Regarding kyb i cant find a dealer in pindi or islamabad. I think the agriauto are liquid filled while the kyb are gas i think. My car is altis not xli. The price of kyb and thailand is same so isnt it a good idea to for kyb?

You need to get professional opinion regarding the condition of your car's suspension. The part highlighted in blue doesn't completely fit the need to replace the shocks. Softness doesn't imply weakness of shocks, same goes for stiffness.

Brother XLi and Altis have same shocks

Your car is made in Pakistan at Bin Qasim Plant at Karachi and shocks are made by AgriAuto so they are genuine whether they are oil filled or gas filled.

If the shocks do not come up they are definitely gone no second opinion required.

If u have CNG you need hard springs at rear to compensate for extra weight.
