knowing "things" & working on them are 2 different things. CNG 'EXPERTS' at Jail road CNG shops are smart learned by hit & try at our expense & damages.
They may have plenty of knowledge but they do not IMPLY the technology for adjusting an engine to perform good on CNG, It is no rocket science, - any time when you choose engine performance adjustment over CNG ensure that gas cylinder is FULL. for optimum performance over CNG the ignition timing and fuel ratio is the most crucial adjustment, WHICH everyone does through 'apna apna tajarba' manually ' adhe chorre band kar, 2 chorre khol dai'
if these guys with knowledge are so professionally learned ( trained ) why don't they (if they have) use tools to optimise the engine over CNG fuel ? did any of you bothered asking?
- carefully from learning over this forum - i adjusted the Corolla EE 90 Carb 2E engine auto trans myself 1st i did it for petrol used one full tank to get best economy, in 40 litres she gave me 9 km/ litre inter city, next i did on cng in 7.8 kgs of gas without any timing adjustment i got 85 kms, advanced the timing a bit induced a little knock on petrol and the economy over CNG is now 105 km on CNG with no decline on pick-up. rather now i feel the shift kick to low when going up hill at under 2500 RPM loading engine to drop rpm under 2000 without losing momentum
read & learn from this forum, this is what i have done over so many years. Thanks to sharing from Xulfiqar, Rustam65, Argtr65, SERGTR, Spectra and many moody techies not so regulars ... but all of these guys make this forum Tech section Live upto mark.
