Thread: Need help, recommemded motor oil for 2014 altis??

    Question Need help, recommemded motor oil for 2014 altis??

    Good day Sir's,

    Newbie here......Just bought a 2014 altis G manual last Feb........just finished my 1st 1k car maintenance......just wondering why the concierge is upselling me to use synthetic oil......just my 2 cents..but since the car is new, is it advisable to use synthetic oil when the car just turned 1k kms....isnt it advisable to use synthetic oil IF the car has already turned to 20k-30k kms...?? can anyone give me any suggestion on WHEN to use synthetic oil..?? Many many thxs and more power to u guys..!!!!

    Brother use genuine Toyota 5W30 engine oil in tin pack.

    Yes you can use synthetic oil in your car if you want then either from toyota genuine synthetic oil else LM full synthetic or Zic full synthetic are very good engine oils with drain intervals upto 10k km but i advice to change at 6-7k with oem original oil filter if some copy oil filter used then good for 5k kms.

    Go for any genuine or as manual suggests.

    Dear Friend,

    Suggest go by the book, for options you should consult your local 3S dealership. In Pakistan we have entirely different product range.

    As regards to Synthetic oil, old school chaps suggest using synthetic oil after break-in period. I see no harm in switching to synthetic oil, should be added protection in hot climate like ours.

    Oh by the way.....since the car is new ....is it advisable to BREAK IN it?? thx again guys..!!!!
