Dear all, i recently purchased one toyota corolla 1998 (indus) model. the car is perfect but dont run above 120 speed. it has 12 value engine and let the mechanic checke all except timing, which will be checked tomorrow.

have the spark plugs checked! usually at high speeds a stronger spark is required! besides that have the air filter checked and throttle body for any deposits of carbon! and besides this as u mentioned ul have the timing checked out tomorrow! make sure u dont advance it too much!
have ur had the engines compression checked? bcoz a 16yr old engine must have had alot of wear and tear in it! u cant expect it to perform like a 0 meter engine!
