    you didnt get me
on your gear lever (selector) their is a small button which has O/D written mostly below it when you press your car can shift into final gear (4th)
if the button isnt pressed its in the off position a light is supposed to light in your meter and your car will only shift upto 3rd
secondly the pic you posted isnt of your car and unless yours is an XE or 2.0D converted into a GLI its supposed to have an RPM gauge too
what does the meter show @ 80 KMPH ?

there was no DX version that Indus Motors Pakistan assembled, The only 1 model with auto gearbox was the 1/6 GLi which has tachometer.

Now for the engine, pop the bonnet and look at the engine, if its a big rectangle with 4 rubber boots on top and a thick pipe going to the air cleaner its the toyota 4AFE engine which came in the 1.6 GLi - this model had tachometer aka rpm meter as factory original.

If you see a round black frying pan sitting on top of a narrow black engine its the 1.3 litre 2E engine.

so why do you call it Indus?

Indus corolla in usual terms on PW means that you have a model made by "Indus Motors Pakistan" - they made RHD versions of the E-100 corollas with 3 engine choices, 1.3 litre XE and GL (both manual), 1.6L GLi in both auto and manual and 2.0D with only manual gearbox.

You should mention that you have an american market E100 corolla
