Thread: Corolla Airbag issue.

    Default Corolla Airbag issue.

    Salam, i have a 2004 model 2.0d corolla, the problem is someday before changed carpet of my car while changing carpet, car floor was full of dirt so decided to give a wash from a service station guy, the guy washed it throughly, before wash airbag light turn off in meter(means airbag working) but after wash it didnt go off, now 4-5 days ago its still on.

    A real driver knows exactly what's in his car.

    There is a Airbag ECU beneath the gear shifter. maybe water got inside it and it fried.

    Who Gave u the idea to wash the car from inside?? Most probably the sensors inside have fried

    Thats very good, if you need airbags then get it fixed but it will be an expensive replacement of sensors.

    You most probably disconnected the seat belt buckle connectors too - which then got wet and upset the SRS unit, connect the car to a scan tool and reset the SRS unit. It will also tell you of any current and pending errors.

    If you see a duff SRS unit being reported - start saving some monies - the SRS unit is about USD 1100/- convert it to PKR.

    Try to locate the sensor clean it , take out Battery Terminals this will reset everything

    Asl. I have 2 d saloon 08 model.. some time airbag light remain on and some time turn off.. I called Toyota for checkup.. once it is done I ll give feed back.. can anyone explain thos problem r his experiences
