haseeb can you guide whats the proper break in to do for an engine ?
yeah you need to run it at all speeds but usually they say don't rev the engine on the first 1000km to 2000kms.

no need to do any high speed runs. just drive the car and it will break in itself around 10K KMs.

So what was the conclusion ? was it a headrest mismatch ? or your headrest has some play which is causing this vibration and now it is fixed by adjusting your car original headrest ?

Witnessed head rest noise in 200 series land cruiser too in the 2nd row seat. Even it is discussed over LC forums and ih8mud.com

Consider this noise as a feature of LC in Corolla and enjoy if it persists.

Due to so many bookings they don't have time for that. You really need to do break in. My car was giving 14.7km/l on 100km/h on the very first day when I got the delivery and travelled all the way from Rahim yar khan to Lahore, after doing some run in techniques after 300kms it was giving 15.8km/l and now it gives 17-18km/l on 100km/h with cruise on. You need to do proper engine run in in first 2000km for all corolla variants.
    2nzfe upto 1300km
    1zrfe or 2zrfe upto 1800km

When engine will breath properly, you will know that it needed run in big time

Everything needs run in, even new tyres. People in Pak have real less knowledge about this.

Bro can you share how you do break in? Well my route is RWP/ ISB so lot of traffic jam and avg is 11-12 but in isb mostly 14km didn't gone to M-2 but I don't think 1.3 can go beyond 15

Check mine and @makhdoom123 thread as well. If it's a cvt than you need to rev it. I totally disagree from people who said you don't need to drive it fast like how you gonna do engine break in of a cvt corolla than?
It's rpm stays at 2 even at 120.

For 2nzfe you don't really need it, or basically a manual. In a manual or smaller engine car the engine will already be revving upto 3,4,5 rpm which is the basic concept of engine run in. You only need to run it at different speeds (the engine not the car) and in case of manual or smaller engine like 1.3 you're doing that. Only issue is with Altis cvt or Grande. Engine doesn't revs at all. Rpm stays at 2.1 even at 120 so the process is pretty different in that case.

    Gli will give you
    11-12km/l within city
    14km/l on 120-140 on motorway
16km/l on driving consistently at 100km/h

    You're welcome bro.
    Enjoy your ride
I recently sold my 2010 gli. Drove it for like 220k kms.
Gli, Altis 1.6 and Altis 1.8 all have somehow the same fuel consumption. Only cvt gives better on highways coz of less revving at high speeds. 😊

    Thanks.
Actually I just wanted a price idea for my 2010 GLi. It's 68k driven, silver color and in complete original condition except for some minor scratch marks on the front bumper.

    Any idea how much? 13.50lac-14lac?

Last time top of the line variant was for 1799 And everyone went into shock after looking at that price tag
With prices increasing regular basis now
I am afraid by next gen of corolla and Civic prices will hit 30 lacs mark easily

If the car is first owner than it should be around 12.50-13
You can find good condition 2011-2012 in 13-14 😊
