for exp i got the price quote of 680 Rs for filament oil filter from orignal toyota parts dealer Mehran Autos and Hamza younis autos whereas toyota capital is charging 1300 Rs for the same filter.

similarly there is a difference in engine oil price and other filters too.

i have checked and mehran and hamza younis autos have confirmed that the parts available with them are 100% orignal and not fakes.

i have logged a complaint with toyota capital for over charging (100% extra money) on such parts. i suggest that you do your verification and log similar complaint with toyota capital (03215363162-Mr Junaid, customer services).
Same is the case with all dealerships. I exactly created a fuss at Toyota Airport Lahore when I heard their prices which were about 70% more than market shops. When I confronted them their reply was simple and they confessed they are expensive in comparison due to following reasons: they have massive overheads compared to a stand alone shop, also they pay taxes which stand alone shops don't mostly and things that the dealerships have are imported through proper channels with taxes and duties paid. Whereas stand alone shops mix black and white: smuggled stuff and imported stuff so their rates obviously have to be much less.

I think the reasons are valid why dealerships are expensive but trust me a dealership maintained car has a better life. As far as a specific dealership being expensive than others is concerned i highly doubt that because dealership rates are approved by the company and are on record. Their service may vary or there have been frequent examples of them charging things and not putting them in cars but rates are approved for parts.

Few suggestions required from all of you brothers.

I have booked GLI Manual on 24th September. PBO shows delivery time of November. Keeping in view the late deliveries of Corollas. When should I expect my car to be delivered?

    2) Which tires to go for after getting my ride? As due to my work nature i have to drive both in city and outside where road conditions are not so good or no roads at all.

    3) Is there an impact on resale in getting car registered in January 2017? Although model will be 2016.

    Thankyou.

U should go for Dunlop or Bridgestone or pirelli. As yokohama and Michellin gets easily damaged as have soft sidewalls. They are city tyres.

    #YOLO but safety first.

Used advan db everywhere. Went to my village several times, went to babusar top, crossed big stones with them as there was a landslide in my way. I didn't face any issues. Jaan booch k tyre kharab karnay main aur tyre k kharab honay main buhat farq hai. Go for yokohama advan db or c drive or continental contipremiumcontact5.
All are good. If in Lahore, than buy from tyrepoint near thokar niaz baig.

Actually i have never driven an auto transmission or cvt car. Btw last car was an xli. This time xli was too disappointing to buy. So went to buy an altis by increasing budget slightly. Still waiting for delivery. 😢

195/65 (Stock) or 205/60. Why would you want huge sidewalls with 205x.65 and 215x.65 aspects?

Yokohama : no sound at all plus very comfortable tyre but does not last longer.

Michelin: more sound and less comfy than yoko , not much difference. But lasts longer (only buy uk ones not thailand ones)

    Stock will save your suspension

    But

205-60-15 will have more width so more control over driving.
