Btw, congratulations on your new Grande

Installed continental contipremiumcontact5 after that. All on stock alloy rims, loving them, and found out they have immense grip, but not as quite as advan db. Who cares when you are getting superb grip with minute noise.
Yokos are excellent, but continentals are premium/outclass. Depends upon budget as well.

exactly my fear, considering it's supposed to be driven lhe-khe highway too. had the pleasure of talking with @makhdoom123 bhai. says go with advan db. now i dont know if yoko's blueearthA are available. so if tyre's durability & reliability wrt to getting busted is a concern, should i then go with contipremium?

The original size is 205/55/16 internationally, which is equal to 195 65 15 given in PK.
The closest to it would be 205/60/15 which would give it slightly more grip while keeping the height unchanged.
You can also get 205/65/15 which is slightly bigger but makes the ride more comfortable however handling is proportionately compromised a bit.

Now the tyres. I've used Yokohama bluearth A, Continental Conti premium contact2, and Pirelli Centurato P1 Verde on the 11th gen and I'd say they are all great tyres. Pirelli is not as soft as compared with the rest, but it's still overall quite nice. But the best in my opinion is conti. Now CPC5 is also available and if you get that you will never look back or regret.
i guess the bet's between conti premium and advan db/blueearthA

You can get unlucky with any tyre when it comes to brusting.

I used advan db for 55k kms on my gli 2013 and i used it like a khota and never ever slowed during a pothole. In short i took them to the highest extent possible. Neither of them brusted.

Then in 2016 i changed tyres to advan db , after going to my home town RYK. I hit a cement stair in a small road and one of the tyre brusted. (See i Got unlucky)

In 2009 i had 2.0D corolla with Lm 702 and it brusted because of something stcking out of the road.

So it all depends upon luck and the situation. Advan db is not prone to brusting this is a mis conception. Any tire can brust.

Yep, I totally agree with that. When I changed my new Altis tyres to yoko advan db, I was pretty satisfied with them, went upto babusar top on them with no issues, but unfortunately one of the tyre bursted due to 1.5 inch bolt sticked into it. So, changed to contipremiumcontact5 as wanted to choose something different. You can get unlucky with any tyre, anything can hit your tyre on the road. It's a piece of rubber, you gotta protect it as much as you can from sharp things.

With ac 10-11, without ac upto 13.
    Gt road at 100km/h 16km/l
    Motorway at 120km/h 14-15km/l
1.6 Altis will also give you the same, as well as 1.8 will also remains the same in local driving, but 1.8 is giving better on highways and motorway.
    Previously used 2010 gli
    2012 Altis 1.6 cruisetronic
Now using 2016 Altis 1.8 cvt cruisetronic
Tested all of them so I know about all three engines.

My pleasure. Here is the contact number of Zain bhai 0321 2600026
    Contact him before going
Purchased all tyres from him, great person, great rate, and best quality tyres.
My advice: go for advan db sheikh brothers official imported ones. Contipremiumcontact5 makes a little noise, but grip/braking is much better than advans.

Do look for Yokohama BluEarthA AE50 its a better tyre than both conti and advandb.

Guys get over Advan DB. it's a 5 year old tech/design.

Go for newer better engineered tyres like BluEarthA AE50. I am no ambassador for Yokohama however sharing this since i have had experience with both.

Advan DB is good no doubt. Yokohama BluEarthA AE50 is better. it should be.

i am not commenting on the path/procedure we follow to get the tyres what i want you guys to realize is that AE50 is a better tyre.
