Just done 5k service of my altis 1.6 from Society motors karachi, they charged 3750(Taglon 5 liter) + 1550 (Oil filter) + 5424 (Labor 5k inspection + wash) = Rs 10724, too much rate for labor but can't help it, next time I'll check different dealership as labor rate varies at each dealership

Point to note is Toyota Central quoted me 11.5k with petron oil

You must have bought 4 liters of Taglon that is why it is Rs.3000, 5 liter is for Rs. 3750. Altis 1.6 and 1.8 have different oil filter which cost Rs. 1550 while 1.3 oil filter cost Rs. 800!

Saif bhai, my Altis 1.6 has done about 2800 Kms only in one year. I inquired from Toyota Hyderabad Motors about oil and oil filter prices, and was given the following rates:

    Rs.2160 for oil
    Rs.1150 for oil filter
    Total:Rs.3,310

Why is there so much difference in oil prices (3750 v/s 2160)?

On 10k service just ask them to change oil and filter. You can take your own filter if you can source from some oem parts shop in your city. Do not go for any tune up because they just open and clean spark plugs. At 10k they do brake service which is also not required, they just open up bakes and clean dust and this job could be done but not necessary.

It is mentioned in the manual that these customized settings can be done at the authorized dealerships. I haven't asked them yet but I'm sure it's done through their software.

Okay first of all. Thanks to @makhdoom123 bhai and @haseeb.basharat bhai for advising me on stuff. Purchased this silver grande with misaligned boot. This is toyota's sahara's vehicle so went there.
Since the car didnt have any pds sticker i wasn't sure if it ever did go through it. After insisting that i want a mini pds done right now, they checked the undercarriage bolts and made adjustments to them. Wheels were misaligned, camber was positive (which means the vehicle probably didn't go through the pds as it should have been). Anyway, after getting this stuff fixed, asked the service manager to get this gap fixed. They were pissed and reluctant to do it. Measured the right and left side's gap with the vernier calliper but ironically, compared it to another grande which had a misaligned boot.

Convinced him to fix it. Toh the denter used the bumper's and boot's nuts to make adjustments.
The issue is that the right side has more gap than the left side. Left side ka gap theek hai. Saw another corolla at the dealership with perfectly aligned bumper, boot and taillights. Mine doesn't have that. Even after getting the adjustment done, the right side still has a slightly more gap. The right taillight is bulging out when compared to the pillar's portion.
The dealership says that when you'll come for the ffc at 1000 we'll open the bumper and the boot and try to make more adjustments.
The warranty guy took photos and claimed to fwd them to indus. Not sure if that's going to change anything.

    ISSUE 2
The suspension seems to be very hard. Thaa thaa lugti hai -_- it appears as if the rear shocks aren't even active. Could it be an issue of camber / caster?

    Sorry for the whine

Are you sure it was Taglon ? Rs 750 is printed on a liter bottle. Did you inquire only or changed it ?

Congratulations! The trunk issue should be resolved by them at 1000km checkup. You've signed delivery papers? The suspension issue you highlighted, please check tyre air pressure, drop it to 26 - 28 psi.

What do you mean by instantaneous? The control buttons on the right side side of the steering wheel help to switch between imid displays. The avg is already showing

This is a Pakistani car. And what you have mentioned in the long story below, is a routine/normal issue(s) with these cars. Your cars boot is misaligned but some people get their cars with misaligned windscreens. Once a friend received a brand new hilux with missing differential breather. So who checks transmission breathers when taking delivery of a brand new car. He only noticed when the differential was recked.
How do you know that this particular dealers wheel alignment machine was calibrated properly and he was actually using suspension specs for your specific vehicle????
You have in fact reduced your cars resale value since now bolts on your cars boot have been scratched and some buyer will notice this when you are selling and he will be naturally suspicious that your car is accidented. Cheers,

This problem may never be resolved. This is my experience.
The gentleman should be thankful to Allah that he has received a car with no major issues. Otherwise people have a lot of horrible stories to narrate. Honda, Suzuki or Toyota there are no exceptions.
