I refuse to agree with that, sorry. there has never been any change no Matter what the customers Experience. The ONLY Change they brought in the Previous shape was ov the 1.3l engine's Head because many faced Issues on gas. Rest, at least i can't Recall.

In actual fact, at least with the earlier Models, the cars sold at the start have had Better parts. They Probably come imported at first and Later start getting made here. Just my Opinion.

And then with Later Models, you pay greater Price. At least in 1.3GLi there was more than three Hundred Thousand rupees difference between 2010 and 2014.

I had a different experience and it is that with the passing time Indus adds more features

    For instance

In 2004 one of my colleague bought Xli and it came without RPM meter and Radio/Cassette without remote control

I bought in 2005 and mine had RPM meter and a remote control for the Alpine Radio/Cassette player

In 2006 they gave rear LED lights and glass embedded antenna + Alpine MP3 CD Player+ Radio plus better plastics and a new grill

It is highly likely that they will add on a few features down the road.
Be polite on the road. Always give way to others, particularly ambulances and pedestrians.

well I can't buy a feature less gli or 1.6 altis just for the sake of resale and tbh I think grande will have good resale cause it has loads of goodies and it's price will increase over the time too.
so yea Allah malik hai dekha jaey ga.

Well price list of Toyota southern and one other toyota dealership has xli automatic and simple base model 2.OD in the list as well , no price is written in front of these two trims and according to the sales person these varaints will be launched later after 4 to 5 months
There was no 2.od Sr in the list though
May be some error in printing but I don't think so

I don't understand this "resale phenomenon".. you buy a car for your likes and enjoyment Not for the next owner. Automobile should never be taken as investment. If you want something for investment buy Gold. In every other part of the world as soon as you leave dealers lot you lose easily 10% or more. Some brands even like 20. Yes in Pakistan we have limited options and seller wants more money for his car after driving it for years with thousands of miles. Anyways good luck to all potential buyers...

    @ fazal bhai
The difference in both the trims is not that much
But the loss at the time of selling it even after 1 year and hardly 15 k kms on the odo ( my experience twice with 10th gen corolla altis ) is too much and around 6 lacs

The situation is quite different here in pakistan
How many % of the potential buyers get the car on cash there ? And how many ppl get their cars through bank /lease / finance there ?
I have never seen any significant increase in price whenever a new model replaces the previous one there
The ppl giving monthly installments as rent , don't really care about Resale
Again and again they keep changing their cars and get newer ones again on installments
Here 20 lacs or 25 lacs from our hard earned money is too much and we really have to think before spending so much
It's not easy for everyone to dispose his car at a loss of 6 to 7 lacs and then again add 10 to 12 lacs on top To upgrade
Yes I would not look at resale if I get new Altis with all the features which international versions have with 6 air bags and all other safety features
I would simply go for it and will keep it for 10 years

Well car leasing and financing is second major bill you have every month In your mail box after your home mortgage or rent. Once you lease or finance . You need full bumper to bumper coverage on insurance as well. This adds on to your car expenses . Anyways car buying /leasing is headache in Pakistan for the fact that the interest rates/APR is very high.

Here attraction is that if you have good credit history you can get at zero rate for 60 months with zero down. People don't buy new cars here on cash as the cars depreciate as I said it's not investment. My 2012 Jetta fully loaded MRSP was 26K. I got 3000 off MRSP; free oil change for three years and free car wash once a month till I own. I just crossed 14K miles on it and I recently appraised my car and it came out as 15K. I could have put 50% down at time of purchase and just financed remaining but well. I kept that all 100 percent for something more important. I financed it at zero rate for 60 months. So as cars depreciate people don't buy on cash. Also car buying is attractive as one can buy it with very low rates. There is no monopoly by manufacturer. Car dealers have targets to meet and they come up with incentives to attract buyers. Recently I was at BMW event for test drive. When I left they BMW gave me 1000 dollar discount voucher for buying BMW. Recently I got email from local BMW dealer and he gave me another 1000 dollar voucher for buying from them along with 1.9% interest rate if I have good credit though I m not buying any BMW very soon. So I totally understand the buying selling is very different back home..

By end of August Even Corolla will be available at zero down.

11th Generation Toyota Corolla Pakistan -1453278

This means that a fully loaded corolla S premium top of the line will cost you around $400 or less with zero down payment a month for 60 months if someone buy it at MRSP, negotiations always work and this number can go lower easily (provided you have a good credit history)

Now I can imagine clearly what a double digit APR means to potential buyers in Pakistan. The same car as I calculated above will cost $568 per month with %18.50 APR.. This is insane

Camry, Avalon, are at zero APR at this time already.

interest rates around the world are the same considering the inflation factor.

in my thinking COST OF GLI + COST OF ALL AFTER MARKET ACCESSORIES = COST OF ALTIS, so why not go for company upgraded car. both car will loose there prices at the end. Difference is we pay price of Altis at once while putting adds on price of gli gradually.
