I have experience. Went from Stock tyres to Michellin 205/55/16 on Enkei Wheels. No difference at all. I feel my car is much better imo.

On www.tirerack.com u enter your original size tire like 195/65 R15 and they will tell u different perfect sizes of tire and rim which will same as your original.

Even you can use 17" rims also.

The formula you shown dosent help reducing the gap. Because if u increase rim size from 15 to 16, sametime u ard decresing tyre profile from 65 to 55. So what is the use of putting low profile tyre and compromising a bit on suspension discomfort although the gap remain same.

It does help a bit. Provides a very slight difference in ride height. Further lower profile will make it even more helpful. But 205/55/16 is imo best for corolla. 215/50/17 or even 215/45/17 is best for the Altis 1.8.

    Exactly

    That's y I am saying
    Either go for 205 or 215/60/R 16
    Or 215/50/R 17

It's better to stick to the original size instead of going for 215/55/R 16 or 215 /45 /R 17

Dear friend the picture you show is definatly an ABS system. As I have told you that to make 100% working is a little hard. It is because if a problem rise in genuine ABS it become harder to handle. I have seen an accident at Honda City sales Lahore that a car done work of ABS and when driver tried to climb the ramp it need a little brake but brake did not work and hit to an other car.

Default I think rim R16 (as wheels cups minght not fit) and 205 tire as suggested

Seems if we do not go for Alloys then the Wheelcups might not fit to R16 wheeldrum?
And if rim remains the same then Only Tire height can increase a bit this not contributing to overall Gap reduction in terms of the Looks !

It is my keen suggestion to all my friends that never take risk of altering brakes, tire size, silencer, engine modifications or electrical modifications by an foot path mechanic. Always these works done by a specialist.

I have seen a Civic 2012 model burned at Montgomery Road while instaling HID.

Yar it is best to use original size. Keep your self comfortable from bugget, fuel avg, Speedo meter and etc.

Here I want to tell a very important point that when the tire profile is less or higher than actual size, your speedo meter will not show actual speed. This can cause Challan on motor way.

I suggest you to use Continental tires. That help to improve braking, stability, low noise, less rain slipry, soft on rocks, best grip and etc...
I shall use Continental CEC3 for my new Corolla with original tire size. Price Rs.10,500

Euro Star tires will sell in between 18k to 24k. Check with different tire dealers.

Dunlop tires also good but in Pakistan it is hard to find fresh import tire. Most of them are smuggled. They make noise and get low tire pressure again n again. Price may round 8000 - 9000

Hahahaha. Anyways GLi guys go for 205/50/16 and drop ride height using coilovers preferably. Altis people go for 215/50/17. Im not in favor of going for 195/65/15. Gaari ki height agay hi buhat unchi hay aur body itni bari n chote chote tyres tou tabahi hain. Avg. Ko kuch nai hoga once you go for quality wheels and tyres.
