There is no point in arguing with each other. Corolla is a superhit product in Pakistan and its market share is unmatched.
We own a Lancer since 8 years, bought it brand new in 2006, and at that time, the option of Corolla was open to us but we went for Lancer as we wanted a car to be kept for a longer period of time.
6 months ago we bought a 2010 Prius S-Touring package loaded with goodies that even Civic lacks and Alhamdulillah it's running great.
Yesterday we booked a Corolla GLi AT, the 2nd time we bought a Corolla, last one being a 98 model GL bought in end 2011 and sold in 2013.
Now Lancer is a non-market car, Prius market is gradually growing, so it means that they lose some money over time. On the other hand, you buy a Corolla now and sell it 5 years later for the same price, without adjusting for inflation. Also, the 11th Gen Corolla is stunningly beautiful, in my view a better buy than both City and Civic.
And people, I'm neither a die-hard Toyota fanboy or Honda hater, I like the long big American old cars, but they are painstakingly expensive to run and maintain.
