Although i also believe that altis will hv 4 variants all 1.8L and Xli/Gli will be 1.3 L But if IMC is coming up with 1.6 also then it wud b more logical to tag 1.6 as Gli instead of Altis which wud b 1.8 and Xli will b 1.3.. And they shud give power windows in Xli this time When Gli and Xli will hv different engines IMC will not hv to rely on minor differences like power windows.. Btw Honda has already abandoned manual windows years ago.. Dont know wats wrong with IMC

Of course this is a COROLLA, not a Ferrari so please do not expect it to move and behave like one.

The 10th gen Corolla's (Xli/GLi manual variants) curb weight was 1300 kg (source: Wikipedia). The new GLi weighs the same (1275 kg - as told by @rizwan400 bhai), so it'll move the same. It was good enough for everyone who bought the car last time, and it'll be good enough for everyone who buys it this time.

My biggest concern is with the auto transmission. 17.7 seconds to reach a 100 km/h? Really? Even if it was 12 seconds that could've been understandable, but this is just shameful. And like everyone else has been saying, no immobilizer means it's a deal breaker. Also given the fact that Honda's now offering newer features in their Civic (new cameras for video calling and front parking), I've got zero interest left in buying this car, new shape be damned.
Initially when i drove 10th Gen Manual 1.3 Gli, keeping in view size of body, i was expecting it to be sluggish but it was not .. But all this pickup is at expense of fuel economy.. The engine has been tuned for good pickup to drag this heavy body which in turn results in poor mileage.. Many users will agree that economy of 1.6 L altis is even better than Gli/Xli...

I have a question. Does changing rims from 15 to 16 disturb speedo and milage meter settings?

Yes.. Even if the tyre size remains same but profile is changed, speedometer readings are effected as they hv been adjusted to stock profile

    Yes it does.

The rim size itself has no effect on your odometer, or your speedometer. The tire size will. It will less accurately reflect how far you have gone, and how fast you are going. Go to this site, and enter the size of your old tires and your new tires, to see how much of an impact it will have. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html If a slightly lower profile tire was installed on your new rims than were on your old rims, it may not be that much difference. If not, it could easily be a few percent. If you went with a higher profile tire, it could easily be off by 15%. Also, both your old and new tires could be off, if they are not the original stock size, and your speedometer gear (or VSS gear, as the case may be) was never changed to reflect that.

from Yahoo and personal Experience. An uncle got fined on M2 once, argued with the Policeman and He told this.

Yes it will. But I can tell you that swapping out the local 195/65 R15 rims and tires (that come standard on Corollas and Civics) with 205/55 R16 will not have any impact on speedometer calibration, as that size scales proportionally to the 195/65 R15 size. That's why I always recommend that if you're looking to get custom rims, always go for 16 inches, and get the 205/55 profile tires for those rims.

You can check the same fact using the website @Vajih102 bro mentioned.

wikipedia not showing the weight of 1300cc gli a/t....its the weight of usdm corolla 1.8.....2ndly civic reborn weight 1240kg oriel prosmatec in Pak.....do u think new gli 1.3 a/t at 1275kg will run like honda city 1.3 1100kg 98bhp in 12-13sec? current altis 1.6 a/t with sunroof weighted 1250kg so i believed the current corolla 1.3 gli shud be 1200kg or less

P.S civic/altis was weighted at the weight station

I think that it will be better for IMC to introduce Altis in 1.8 and then gli in 1.6 and xli in 1.3..... By this way everyone is happy as most of the dealers/rent wala will always go for xli while those people who want to use corolla at home or for their own personal use will buy 1.6 gli and it will have a good resale value while some who can afford Altis will go for Altis
