So yes IMC has received an over-whelming respond, maybe b'coz of their campaign?

Altis 1.6 would only be In comparison with City If Honda decides to launch the Aspire variant this time!
I think Honda should launch 1.6L engine this time since the new City has heavy looks!
City 1.3L is meant to be compared with GLI/XLI.
City was always better than GLI and would remain too!

City has a better shape than Corolla this time.
City would look awesome provided that Honda doesn't raise the car as IMC did..

Hope it wouldn't cut too much again.
Will give a very tough time to xli gli.
    let's see how it goes

The base model (1.3L) wouldn't have the most of the features,
I don't expect dual AC outlet, eco mode, and sun roof In Aspire or 1.3L,

But I expect Aspire to have Immobilzer and a single airbag and a price tag lower than 1.6 Altis.
If Honda Includes the above mentioned features In Aspire then It would give a very hard time to XLI/GLI and Altis 1.6!

If honda makes the suspension soft then I will easily rip of xli and gli.even if they don't then again I guess if they load it well enough it will give a tough time!

Yes, I do admit that City does make noise on uneven roads,
But hey! In future roads would get better Instead of getting worse.
Like In Punjab, CM is working the most on roads. He's making them much better!

Drive both the cars on a good highway like Kashmir Highway and you'll then know which is better..

I have driven both the Rolla and City on Kashmir Highway one by one, and believe me Corolla come's no way close!

So the point is City If you live in a good area and you have constructed roads!
Corolla If the roads In your daily route are In a bad nick.
it's not a right place to discuss city.

How about spending 1.6M on buying a city and another 1.6M on building a better road network around where you live?

The 1.5L would be fully loaded and If they offer Immobilizer In It then It would surely kick the *** out of XLI/GLI/Altis 1.6 whether the suspension is hard or not. The Airbag would be another plus point since Altis 1.6 doesn't have It!

My friend I am afraid that the new City has the same suspension as the older one!
But this suspension has an long term advantage,
In future roads would get better, right? So City would give better pleasure on roads whereas the Corolla wouldn't!

As far as the bumpy roads go. FYI Sedan's aren't meant for bad roads, SUV's are made for It.
But obviously everyone can't afford It so they Intend to go for Corolla which performs on bad roads too!
That's the main plus point Corolla has over City otherwise the City is a better car, atleast for me!

Why would I spend my hard earned 1.6M on a road network when It's the responsibilty of Government to built and us with provide a better network, Duh!

And When did I force anybody to buy a City?
As I said In the last point that,

City is for those who live In those area's which has a better road network,
Whereas Corolla is for those who live in an area where roads are not In a so good condition!

The thing is that everyone has gained momentum and are charged up for a long debate Including me.
This thread is already full of Civic vs Altis posts so another City vs XLI/GLI posts wouldn't harm much!
Starting from scrap would be difficult!

City has definitely hard stiff but it doesn't mean that it's very uncomfortable. We have Aspire and we are very much satisfied with it. It has powerful engine.

Everyone has his opinion but you can't say XLI/GLI is better car.

    Exactly!
Only comfort doesn't matter, there are hundred's of other things to look for!
They're not seeing that the hard suspension in City is meant for better and sporty drive which is better than that of Rolla!

Hence it means City isn't suitable as a family car, rear passengers don't want their backs broken :p

City is meant for family use, who say's that It doesn't?
Every car has It's +- points.
City is pure pleasure to drive on good roads.
You can never get that pleasure from Rolla on highways which you can get from City!

Sporty suspensions are suited in sport edition vehicles, like Passo Racy, Vitz RS, Prius Touring edition. The regular versions of these cars have soft suspension.

Every car has It's +- points.
City is pure pleasure to drive on good roads.
You can never get that pleasure from Rolla on highways which you can get from City!
Bro I have traveled and driven several Citys, some are in family circle too. Stiff suspension complaints come from all the owners although they have the cars since a few years. Before buying Prius, I had City Aspire 1.5 in mind, was all up for it but then went straight for a Prius.

City doesn't have a sporty suspension, It has a hard suspension!
Please read on Internet about the difference b/w hard and sporty suspension.

I didn't use the word sporty by myself. I replied to your post in which you said the hard suspension is for sporty drive.
And no city or corolla can match the comfort on highways my 8 years old Lancer provides.
End of discussion about non-Corolla related cars.

Is this a City thread? Don't blame moderators for their action.

    Sorry for that!
Our debate has converted from XLI vs City to City's problems!
