    Which one should I buy?

11th Generation Toyota Corolla Pakistan -1514050

Initially, I decided to buy (1) because I don't care for any of the main features of Grande (2) namely, sunroof, rain sensor, extra interior lights, cruise control, leatherite seats etc. and I can do without pedal shifters and steering audio controls.

It lacks the only feature that would've convinced me to buy it: Auto climate control

BUT, I've been told by friends that its a bad idea to buy (1) because it will have a lot less resale value than (2) and that I better pay the extra 200k on (2) 'cause i'll lose less money on it when selling. Is it true?

I'd appreciate any advice and opinions on this. Please give pros and cons of each considering my preferences. Are there any other important differences between the two that I don't know of?
Bro, if budget is not the problem, you should go for top of the line model. And yes, Grande would have better resale than non grande.

I took this pic in dubai 2 months ago. These were available for 850 dirhams in 16" size, OEM design. But in Pakistan u can try Unique tyres in blue area islamabad for similar design. I didnt like it so am waiting for Thai design Altis rims in 17"

Bro these are different ones. They are neither thai model nor uae model. Plus thailand OEM comes in 17", smaller ones look odd.

I called him few mins back at his work PTCL number he was there.

Call him at his cell ---- I think he'll answer.

As for the price, between 38K - 45K there are 3-4 different designs with him.

    Dear Experts,

I am having Honda civic since last few years but never had Corolla, I want to move to Corolla now. I was having Civic 2005 and now having 1.8 Civic Reborn top of line but the problem is ground clearance Reborn kisses every speed breaker if 4 persons are in car and my personal experience is that Honda is not a good choice to travel in ruler/hilly areas.

I am a bit confused that should I go for either new corolla Altis 1.6 A/T or Grande 1.8 CVTI A/T ???
Need your kind help keeping in view following.

? Vehicle will be used as routine going office and household car
? I am based in Karachi so major use is urban and may be highways too but not regularly
? Once in a year might go to northern areas
? Obviously resale is an important factory BUT I am planning to keep that new car for next 4 year approx. Insh?ALLAH
? What will be mileage on petrol?
? Can we go for CNG option in Corolla? (personally I don?t like A/T with CNG)

Your kind suggestions with facts would be appreciated
    Thank you.

Please don't write a friggin essay in reply cz I won't argue. Get over this ALTUS vs VTAK thing already, buy them, use them and then come up with neutral comments. Seriously. Grow UP now.

Some really disappointing things I found in the car:

-Audio quality is really bad for Altis. May be I am used to aftermarket speaker systems and home audio a little too much but still, I find the FF audio in Corolla GLi 2008 and Honda City 2012 to be far better in quality.

-Interior plastics could be a LOT better. Yes a LOT. They are dirt magnets seriously. I have a hunch they will dry up pretty quickly if left unattended.

-Glossy area around the navigation is a fingerprint magnet and it will get scratched pretty easily, it attracts dust due to glossiness and when wiped off, boom... swirls and scratchy patterns!

-Foot board plastics have disappeared. Just like it happened with the civic. Now I'll have to get scuff plates to protect that area from quick damage.

Other than the above, the car is totally a breeze to own. I would prefer it over a manual transmission for sure and would really think several times before opting Civic over it.

YES, I know. I know. One airbag, no immobilizer, rear wheel gap, bla bla. Issues are still there. At least its not THAT much of a crap car now. They have moved on from the conventional AT and ditched the older engines. I don't find all of these oldie arguments plausible any more in favor of Honda. From what I know, their 70k worth of navigation system is a total disaster and if they provide few extra goodies, their car is expensive as well. It isn't 100% perfect either.

So for a guy like me, I would rather enjoy the comfortable drive, new features, stunning looks and the best of all: An automatic transmission with LOTs of torque at lower RPMs; instead of whining about what it DOESN'T have (the glass is half full bro ).

I am not a wanna-be Dominic Toretto, all I want from 4 wheels is movement from one place to the other in the most comfortable way possible.

I have to recall at this moment, a post by our senior and much more experienced member @fouadbakht, in a tire query thread explaining very well the needs of our people. (that girlfriend cheeks thing fascinated me )
