I asked TCM. The service manager said the cover should not be installed as it obstructs ventilation of hot air from ecu.

What abt Ur old alloys? Selling them?
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Dear brothers, till now, I have been using Suzuki vehicles and plan to upgrade to a 1300 CC GLI Auto or 1600 CC Altis thru car ijarah/leasing. My questions are:

    1. Will the engine of a 1.3 GLI Auto be responsive enough to be driven easily with 5 people + 30 Kg luggage in vehicle on highway. The car will mostly be used in city and once in a month on highways?

    2. Is it true that resale of 1.6 Altis is a bit low / difficult as compared to 1.3 GLI Auto?

    3. Is it true that after-sales service of Toyota dealership regarding Automatic transmission cars is not satisfactory in smaller cities like Hyderabad etc (as one can see 9 out of 10 Toyota Indus cars to possess manual transmission in such cities)?

I apologize if the above questions seem amateur for you people, but being a newbie myself, would appreciate replies based on personal experiences. Cheers

Between Gli 1.3 AT and Altis 1.6 there is difference of just 125,000 rupees and you get

    1- 1.6 dual vvti engine
    2- Alloys
    3- Navigation with rev cam

You can add anything in Gli later, but you cannot have that punchy 1.6 liter dual vvti powerful drive.

Hell lot of difference between the drive of Altis 1.6 and Gli AT. You will never regret the additional amount spent on 1.6.

Rest in Toyota range only Xli and Gli manual have resale. Automatic Corollas have even lesser resale. If you want resale then stick to Xli-Gli. But if you want better engine and drive then 1.6 Altis.

Many owners of Gli auto have reported that it's not under powered and does the job well at full load on short and long routes. But obviously a 1.6 with such a little price difference is value for money and more power at hand and better fuel economy.

Thanks a lot brother. I love the way you reply. No doubt, the price difference between 1.3 GLI Auto and 1.6 Altis is 125,000 but adding the extra WHT to be paid at the time of booking + incremental cost on registration, the difference is extended to Rs. 175,000 approx.

A reason why I feel GLI 1.3 Auto will have better resale as compared to Altis 1.6 is the difference of Advance tax involved while buying the used car, which, considering more than 90% people in Pakistan to be non-filers, is a hefty sum of Rs. 60,000 (100,000 - 40,000).

Shade your valuable views on these issues, please.
